     Constance Alice Leslie-Melville was born circa 1871.¹ She was the daughter of Alexander Samuel Leslie-Melville and Hon. Albinia Frances Brodrick.¹ She married Sir Nicholas Henry Bacon, 12th and 13th Bt., son of Sir Henry Hickman Bacon, 10th and 11th Bt. and Elizabeth Beckett, on 22 June 1893.¹ She died on 11 February 1962.¹
     Her married name became Bacon. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ She was Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.²

     Alexander Samuel Leslie-Melville was born on 28 July 1829.² He was the son of Hon. Alexander Leslie-Melville and Charlotte Smith.² He married Hon. Albinia Frances Brodrick, daughter of Charles Brodrick, 6th Viscount Midleton of Midleton and Hon. Emma Stapleton, on 30 September 1858.² He died on 27 January 1919 at age 89.²
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1888.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lincolnshire.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lincolnshire.² He lived at Branston Hall, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Albinia Frances Brodrick was born on 5 May 1831.² She was the daughter of Charles Brodrick, 6th Viscount Midleton of Midleton and Hon. Emma Stapleton.^1,2 She married Alexander Samuel Leslie-Melville, son of Hon. Alexander Leslie-Melville and Charlotte Smith, on 30 September 1858.¹ She died on 18 March 1918 at age 86.¹
     From 30 September 1858, her married name became Leslie-Melville.¹

     Hon. Alexander Leslie-Melville was born on 18 June 1800.² He was the son of Alexander Leslie-Melville, 9th Earl of Leven and Jane Thornton.^2,1 He married Charlotte Smith, daughter of Samuel Smith and Elizabeth Frances Turnor, on 19 October 1825.² He died on 19 November 1881 at age 81.²
     He lived at Branston Hall, Lincolnshire, England^G.²

     Charlotte Smith was born circa 1801 at Wilford, Nottinghamshire, England^G.² She was the daughter of Samuel Smith and Elizabeth Frances Turnor.^1,3 She married Hon. Alexander Leslie-Melville, son of Alexander Leslie-Melville, 9th Earl of Leven and Jane Thornton, on 19 October 1825.¹ She died on 26 April 1879.¹
     From 19 October 1825, her married name became Leslie-Melville.¹

     Samuel Smith was born on 14 April 1754.² He was the son of Abel Smith and Mary Bird.² He married Elizabeth Frances Turnor, daughter of Edmund Turnor and Mary Disney, on 2 December 1783.² He died on 12 March 1834 at age 79.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) He lived at Woodhall Park, Hertfordshire, England^G.²

     Jane Thornton was born in 1757.² She was the daughter of John Thornton and Lucy Watson.¹ She married Alexander Leslie-Melville, 9th Earl of Leven, son of David Leslie, 8th Earl of Leven and Wilhelmina Nisbet, on 12 August 1784.¹ She died on 13 February 1818.
     From 12 August 1784, her married name became Leslie.¹ After her marriage, Jane Thornton was styled as Countess of Leven and Melville on 9 June 1802. From 1805, her married name became Leslie-Melville.

     John Thornton was born on 4 April 1720.² He was the son of Robert Thornton and Hannah Swynocke.³ He married Lucy Watson, daughter of Samuel Watson and Margaret Hoghton, on 28 November 1753.² He died on 7 November 1790 at age 70.²
     He lived at London, England^G. He was director of the Russia Company.³

     Hon. William Henry Leslie-Melville was born in 1788.¹ He was the son of Alexander Leslie-Melville, 9th Earl of Leven and Jane Thornton.¹ He died in 1856.¹
     He was a director of the Honourable East India Company.¹

     Hon. Robert Samuel Leslie-Melville was born circa 1792. He was the son of Alexander Leslie-Melville, 9th Earl of Leven and Jane Thornton.¹ He died on 14 October 1826.¹
     He was in holy orders.¹
