     Mabel Alice Holmes is the daughter of Colonel T. Edmonds Holmes.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Hope Biddulph, son of General Sir Robert Biddulph and Sophia Lambert, in 1911.¹
     From 1911, her married name became Biddulph.¹

     Colonel T. Edmonds Holmes gained the rank of Colonel in the Oxfordshire Light Infantry.¹

     Colonel Harry Biddulph was born on 19 July 1872.¹ He was the son of General Sir Robert Biddulph and Sophia Lambert.¹ He married Constance Emily Smith, daughter of Rowland Smith and Constance Henrietta Sophia Louisa Somerset, on 13 January 1904.¹ He died on 21 April 1952 at age 79.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1927.¹ He was Director of the Works and Buildings, Air Ministry in 1928.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1929.¹

     Constance Emily Smith was the daughter of Rowland Smith and Constance Henrietta Sophia Louisa Somerset.^1,2 She married Colonel Harry Biddulph, son of General Sir Robert Biddulph and Sophia Lambert, on 13 January 1904.¹ She died on 2 July 1958.¹
     From 13 January 1904, her married name became Biddulph.¹

     Rowland Smith was born on 6 December 1826.² He was the son of Samuel George Smith and Eugenia Chatfield.³ He married Constance Henrietta Sophia Louisa Somerset, daughter of Rt. Hon. Lord Granville Charles Henry Somerset and Hon. Emily Smith, on 20 August 1857.² He died on 24 February 1901 at age 74.²

     Robert Granville Biddulph was born on 26 March 1905.¹ He was the son of Colonel Harry Biddulph and Constance Emily Smith.¹ He married Kathleen Esmé Fletcher-Jones, daughter of Dr. unknown Fletcher-Jones.¹ He died on 1 July 1957 at age 52.¹
     He was in the Nigerian Administration Service.¹

     Kathleen Esmé Fletcher-Jones was the daughter of Dr. unknown Fletcher-Jones.¹ She married Robert Granville Biddulph, son of Colonel Harry Biddulph and Constance Emily Smith.¹ She died on 22 April 1992.¹
     Kathleen Esmé Fletcher-Jones usually went by her middle name of Esmé.¹ Her married name became Biddulph.¹
