     George Anson was baptised on 25 July 1731.² He was the son of Sambrooke Adams and Janette Anson.¹ He married Hon. Mary Venables-Vernon, daughter of George Venables-Vernon, 1st Lord Vernon, Baron of Kinderton and Hon. Mary Howard, on 5 January 1763.² He died on 27 October 1789 at age 58.¹
     He was given the name of George Adams at birth.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Lichfield between 1770 and 1789.¹ On 30 April 1773 his name was legally changed to George Anson by Royal License, after inheriting the Shugborough estate from his cousin.¹ He lived at Orgrave, Staffordshire, England^G.²

     Gustavus William Hamilton-Russell, 9th Viscount Boyne was born on 11 January 1864.¹ He was the son of Gustavus Russell Hamilton-Russell, 8th Viscount Boyne and Lady Katherine Frances Scott. He married Lady Margaret Selina Lascelles, daughter of Henry Ulick Lascelles, 5th Earl of Harewood and Lady Florence Katharine Bridgeman, on 4 October 1906.¹ He died on 18 January 1942 at age 78.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baron Hamilton of Stackallan [I., 1715] on 30 December 1907.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Boyne, in the province of Leinster [I., 1717] on 30 December 1907.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Brancepeth, of Brancepeth, co. Durham [U.K., 1866] on 30 December 1907.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 7th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry.² He was appointed Knight of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.G.St.J.)² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Shropshire.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Durham.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Durham.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Shropshire in 1942.²

     George Venables-Vernon, 1st Lord Vernon, Baron of Kinderton was born on 9 February 1709/10.³ He was the son of Henry Vernon and Anne Pigot.³ He married, firstly, Hon. Mary Howard, daughter of Thomas Howard, 7th Baron Howard of Effingham and Mary Wentworth, on 21 June 1733.¹ He married, secondly, Anne Lee, daughter of Sir Thomas Lee, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Sandys, on 22 December 1741.¹ He married, thirdly, Martha Harcourt, daughter of Hon. Simon Harcourt and Elizabeth Evelyn, on 10 April 1744.¹ He died on 21 August 1780 at age 70.¹
     He was given the name of George Vernon at birth.¹ In 1728 his name was legally changed to George Venables-Vernon. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Lichfield between 1731 and 1747.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Derby between 1754 and 1762.¹ He was created 1st Lord Vernon, Baron of Kinderton, co. Chester [Great Britain] on 12 May 1762.¹ He lived at Sudbury Hall, Sudbury, Derbyshire, England^G.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Hon. George Anson was born on 13 October 1797.² He was the son of Thomas Anson, 1st Viscount Anson and Lady Anne Margaret Coke.² He married Hon. Isabella Elizabeth Annabella Weld Forester, daughter of Cecil Weld Forester, 1st Baron Forester of Willey Park and Lady Katherine Mary Manners, on 30 November 1830.³ He died on 27 May 1857 at age 59 at Karnál, India^G, from cholera.² He was buried at Karnál, India. He was buried at Kensal Green Cemetery, London, England.⁴
     He gained the rank of officer in the 3rd (Scots Fusilier) Guards.² He fought in the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Staffordshire in 1818.² He gained the rank of Major-General in 1853.² He was Commander-in-Chief of the forces in India in 1856.² He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Dictionary.²
     

     Hon. Isabella Elizabeth Annabella Weld Forester was the daughter of Cecil Weld Forester, 1st Baron Forester of Willey Park and Lady Katherine Mary Manners.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Hon. George Anson, son of Thomas Anson, 1st Viscount Anson and Lady Anne Margaret Coke, on 30 November 1830.² She died on 29 December 1858.³
     Her married name became Anson.
     Lord Malmesbury wrote that “Mrs. Anson is dead, from taking by mistake an overdose of laudanum. They kept her wlaking about for several hours, but in vain. One of the handsomest women of her day.”¹ Henry Greville wrote that “there was such a natural gaiety and cordiality about her, something so attaching, that I hardly ever have seen the like in any other woman.”¹

     Isabella Maria Katherine Anson was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Hon. George Anson and Hon. Isabella Elizabeth Annabella Weld Forester.^1,2 She married General Richard William Penn Curzon-Howe, 3rd Earl Howe, son of Richard William Penn Curzon-Howe, 1st Earl Howe and Lady Harriet Georgiana Brudenell, on 8 February 1858.¹ She died on 29 March 1922.¹
     Her married name became Curzon-Howe. After her marriage, Isabella Maria Katherine Anson was styled as Countess Howe on 4 February 1876.

     General Richard William Penn Curzon-Howe, 3rd Earl Howe was born on 14 February 1822.² He was the son of Richard William Penn Curzon-Howe, 1st Earl Howe and Lady Harriet Georgiana Brudenell.¹ He married Isabella Maria Katherine Anson, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Hon. George Anson and Hon. Isabella Elizabeth Annabella Weld Forester, on 8 February 1858.² He died on 25 September 1900 at age 78.²
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1858.² He succeeded as the 5th Baron Howe of Langar, co. Nottingham [G.B., 1788] on 4 February 1876.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Curzon of Penn, co. Buckingham [G.B., 1802] on 4 February 1876.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Earl Howe [U.K., 1821] on 4 February 1876.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baron Curzon of Penn, co. Buckingham [G.B., 1794] on 4 February 1876.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the 2nd Life Guards.² He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1897.² He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the Leicestershire Yeomanry.² He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.²

     Hon. Charles Littleton Anson was born in 1799.² He was the son of Thomas Anson, 1st Viscount Anson and Lady Anne Margaret Coke.¹ He died circa 1812, killed by the accidental explosion of a gun on board the frigate Bacchante, while off Lissa.¹
     He gained the rank of Midhsipman in the Royal Navy.¹

     Hon. Charles John Murray was born on 25 January 1810.² He was the son of David William Murray, 3rd Earl of Mansfield and Frederica Markham.^1,2 He married Hon. Frances Elizabeth Anson, daughter of Thomas Anson, 1st Viscount Anson and Lady Anne Margaret Coke, on 12 September 1835.¹ He died on 1 August 1851 at age 41.²

     Hon. Frances Elizabeth Anson was born on 9 January 1810.² She was the daughter of Thomas Anson, 1st Viscount Anson and Lady Anne Margaret Coke.¹ She married, firstly, Hon. Charles John Murray, son of David William Murray, 3rd Earl of Mansfield and Frederica Markham, on 12 September 1835.¹ She married, secondly, Ambrose Isted on 10 September 1853.¹ She died on 25 December 1899 at age 89.¹
     From 12 September 1835, her married name became Murray. From 10 September 1853, her married name became Isted.
