Elizabeth Lavinia Vernon-Harcourt was born in 1816.2 She was the daughter of George Granville Harcourt and Lady Elizabeth Bingham.1 She married Montagu Bertie, 6th Earl of Abingdon, son of Montagu Bertie, 5th Earl of Abingdon and Emily Gage, on 7 January 1835 at NunehamG.1 She died on 16 October 1858 at Wytham Abbey, Berkshire, EnglandG.1
From 7 January 1835, her married name became Bertie. After her marriage, Elizabeth Lavinia Vernon-Harcourt was styled as Countess of Abingdon on 16 October 1854.
