     John Evelyn was born in 1655.¹ He was the son of John Evelyn and Mary Browne.¹ He married Martha Spencer, daughter of Richard Spencer.² He died in 1698.²
     He lived at Wotton, Surrey, England.³

     Sir John Evelyn, 1st Bt. was born on 1 March 1682 at Sayes Court, Greenwich, London, England^G.³ He was the son of John Evelyn and Martha Spencer.¹ He married Ann Boscawen, daughter of Edward Boscawen and Jael Godolphin, on 18 September 1705.³ He died on 15 July 1763 at age 81.³
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Helston between 1708 and 1710.¹ He held the office of Joint Postmaster-General between 1708 and 1715.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Evelyn, of Wotton, Surrey [Great Britain] on 6 August 1713.¹ He was a Commissioner of Customs between 1721 and 1763.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹

     William Venables-Vernon was the son of George Venables-Vernon, 1st Lord Vernon, Baron of Kinderton and Martha Harcourt.^1,2 He died, young.

     Major Bernard Francis Vernon-Harcourt was born on 23 December 1877.¹ He was the son of Augustus George Vernon-Harcourt and Hon. Rachel Mary Bruce.^2,1 He married, firstly, Anna Irene Margaret Micholls, daughter of Sydney Philip Micholls and Alexandrine (?), on 23 April 1912.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Ruther on 11 June 1935 at Kensington, London, England.¹ He died on 19 May 1959 at age 81, without issue.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Welsh Regiment.¹

     Anna Irene Margaret Micholls was born on 23 September 1886 at Notting Hill Terrace, Bayswater, London, England.¹ She was the daughter of Sydney Philip Micholls and Alexandrine (?)¹ She married Major Bernard Francis Vernon-Harcourt, son of Augustus George Vernon-Harcourt and Hon. Rachel Mary Bruce, on 23 April 1912.² She died before 1935.
     Her married name became Vernon-Harcourt.

     Sydney Philip Micholls was born in 1849 at Manchester, Lancashire, England.¹ He was the son of Henry Micholls and Frederica Behrens.¹ He married Alexandrine (?)¹
     He lived at Bayswater, London, England.² He lived at Connaught Square, Paddington, London, England^G.

     Elizabeth Ruther was born on 21 September 1886.¹ She married, firstly, George Sommerhoff.¹ She married, secondly, Major Bernard Francis Vernon-Harcourt, son of Augustus George Vernon-Harcourt and Hon. Rachel Mary Bruce, on 11 June 1935 at Kensington, London, England.² She died in 1972 at Isle of Wight, England.¹
     Her married name became Sommerhoff.¹ Her married name became Vernon-Harcourt.

     Simon Evelyn Vernon-Harcourt was born on 19 January 1882.¹ He was the son of Augustus George Vernon-Harcourt and Hon. Rachel Mary Bruce.^2,1 He married Dorothy Margaret Hudson, daughter of Sir Robert Arundell Hudson, on 3 August 1916.¹ He died on 21 February 1966 at age 84.¹

     Dorothy Margaret Hudson was the daughter of Sir Robert Arundell Hudson.¹ She married Simon Evelyn Vernon-Harcourt, son of Augustus George Vernon-Harcourt and Hon. Rachel Mary Bruce, on 3 August 1916.¹ She died in 1987.¹
     Her married name became Vernon-Harcourt. She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1948.¹
