Mary Quenelda Stanley Ismay, daughter of General Hastings Lionel Ismay, 1st and last Baron Ismay and Laura Kathleen Clegg, on 9 September 1957.¹ He died on 6 October 2010 at age 87 at Hungerford, Berkshire, England.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.³ He was Page of Honour to HM King George V between 1935 and 1936.³ He was Page of Honour to HM King Edward VIIII in 1936.³ He was Page of Honour to HM King George VI in 1937.³ He fought in the Second World War.³ He gained the rank of Major in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.³ He fought in the Palestine Campaign, where he was mentioned in despatches.³ He held the office of Extra Equerry to HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother in 1956.³ He was appointed Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1972.³ He held the office of Equerry to HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother between 1984 and 1993.³ He held the office of High Sheriff of Berkshire in 1989.³ He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1990.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Berkshire in 1992.³ He was Assistant Private Secretary and Equerry to HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother in 1993.³ He lived in 2003 at Thane Cottage, Tempelton Road, Kintbury, Berkshire, England^G.³

     Hon. Mary Quenelda Stanley Ismay was born on 28 July 1929. She is the daughter of General Hastings Lionel Ismay, 1st and last Baron Ismay and Laura Kathleen Clegg.¹ She married, firstly, Robert Mervyn Fitz Finnis, son of Robert Leslie Finnis, on 19 February 1952.¹ She married, secondly, Major George Raymond Seymour, son of Lt.-Col. Sir Reginald Henry Seymour and Winifred Akroyd, on 9 September 1957.²
     From 19 February 1952, her married name became Finnis. From 9 September 1957, her married name became Seymour.

     Robert Mervyn Fitz Finnis was the son of Robert Leslie Finnis. He married Hon. Mary Quenelda Stanley Ismay, daughter of General Hastings Lionel Ismay, 1st and last Baron Ismay and Laura Kathleen Clegg, on 19 February 1952.¹ He died on 24 November 1955.

     Robert Leslie Finnis died before 1963.

     Jane Laura Finnis was born on 7 April 1953. She is the daughter of Robert Mervyn Fitz Finnis and Hon. Mary Quenelda Stanley Ismay.

     Sarah Lavinia Finnis was born on 1 September 1955. She is the daughter of Robert Mervyn Fitz Finnis and Hon. Mary Quenelda Stanley Ismay.

     General Hastings Lionel Ismay, 1st and last Baron Ismay was born on 21 June 1887.² He was the son of Sir Stanley Ismay and Beatrice Ellen Read.² He married Laura Kathleen Clegg, daughter of Henry Gordon Clegg, on 4 August 1921.² He died on 17 December 1965 at age 78.²
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England^G.² He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.² He gained the rank of officer in 1907 in the 21st Cavalry, Indian Army.² He fought in the North-West Frontier in 1908.² He fought in the Somaliland Campaign in 1914, where he was mentioned in despatches.² He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1920.² He fought in the Somaliland Campaign in 1920, where he was twice mentioned in despatches.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1931.² He gained the rank of Major-General in 1939.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1940.² He was Chief of Staff to the Ministry of Defence between 1940 and 1946.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in 1942.² He gained the rank of General in 1944.² He was appointed Companion of Honour (C.H.) in 1945.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1946.¹ He was created 1st Baron Ismay, of Wormington, co. Gloucester [U.K.] on 14 January 1947.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1951.¹ He held the office of Secretary-General of NATO between 1952 and 1957.² He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1957.¹ On his death, his title became extinct.²

     Laura Kathleen Clegg is the daughter of Henry Gordon Clegg.¹ She married General Hastings Lionel Ismay, 1st and last Baron Ismay, son of Sir Stanley Ismay and Beatrice Ellen Read, on 4 August 1921.¹
     Her married name became Ismay. After her marriage, Laura Kathleen Clegg was styled as Baroness Ismay on 14 January 1947.

     Henry Gordon Clegg died before 1963.
