On 3 July 1364 he had charters from teh 9th Earl of Mar of the lands of Edinbanchory and Craiglogy, which was confirmed by King DAvid II.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Aberdeen in 1374.1 On 18 July 1378 he was granted the lands of Findrassie by the Bishop of Moray.1
