     Major Nigel Ivan Forbes, 22nd Lord Forbes was born on 19 February 1918.² He was the son of Atholl Laurence Cunyngham Forbes, 21st Lord Forbes and Lady Mabel Anson.² He married Hon. Rosemary Katherine Hamilton-Russell, daughter of Gustavus William Hamilton-Russell, 9th Viscount Boyne and Lady Margaret Selina Lascelles, on 23 May 1942.¹ He died on 5 March 2013 at age 95.³

     Malcolm Nigel Forbes, 23rd Lord Forbes was born on 6 May 1946.¹ He is the son of Major Nigel Ivan Forbes, 22nd Lord Forbes and Hon. Rosemary Katherine Hamilton-Russell.¹ He married, firstly, Carole Jennifer Andrée Whitehead, daughter of Norman Stanley Whitehead, on 30 January 1969.¹ He and Carole Jennifer Andrée Whitehead were divorced in 1982.¹ He married, secondly, Jennifer Mary Whittington, daughter of Ian Peter Whittington and Anne Noone, on 15 February 1988.¹
     He was styled as Master of Forbes between 1953 and 2013.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Aberdeen University, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was a director of Instock Disposables in 1974.¹ He was a farmer.¹ He was chairman of Castle Forbes Collection Ltd in 1996.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Aberdeenshire in 1996.¹ He lived in 2003 at Castle Forbes, Alford, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹ He succeeded as the 23rd Lord Forbes [S., 1445] on 5 March 2013.

     Hon. Jonathan Andrew Forbes was born on 20 August 1947.² He is the son of Major Nigel Ivan Forbes, 22nd Lord Forbes and Hon. Rosemary Katherine Hamilton-Russell.² He married Hon. Nichola Frances Hawke, daughter of Julian Stanhope Theodore Hawke, 10th Baron Hawke of Towton and Georgette Margaret Davidson, in 1981.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He was educated at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England^G.² He retired from the military in 1977, with the rank of Captain, late of the Grenadier Guards.² He lived in 2003 at East Crevidley, Alford, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.²

     Hon. Gillian Rosemary Forbes was born on 3 April 1949.¹ She is the daughter of Major Nigel Ivan Forbes, 22nd Lord Forbes and Hon. Rosemary Katherine Hamilton-Russell.¹ She married Alexander Neil Foster, son of Lt.-Col. Neil Phipps Foster and Rosemary Lucia de Vere Drummond, on 26 March 1969.¹
     She was educated at St. Mary’s School, Wantage, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ From 26 March 1969, her married name became Foster.¹ She lived in 2003 at Church Farm House, Blakesley, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹

     Carole Jennifer Andrée Whitehead is the daughter of Norman Stanley Whitehead.¹ She married Malcolm Nigel Forbes, 23rd Lord Forbes, son of Major Nigel Ivan Forbes, 22nd Lord Forbes and Hon. Rosemary Katherine Hamilton-Russell, on 30 January 1969.¹ She and Malcolm Nigel Forbes, 23rd Lord Forbes were divorced in 1982.¹
     From 30 January 1969, her married name became Forbes.

     Neil Malcolm Ross Forbes, Master of Forbes was born on 10 March 1970.¹ He was the son of Malcolm Nigel Forbes, 23rd Lord Forbes and Carole Jennifer Andrée Whitehead.¹ He married Maria Elfgyva Martell, daughter of Andrew Martell and Clare Lillywhite, circa 2009.² He died in 2017.³
     He was styled as Master of Forbes in 2013.

     Hon. Joanna Carole Forbes was born on 23 April 1972.¹ She is the daughter of Malcolm Nigel Forbes, 23rd Lord Forbes and Carole Jennifer Andrée Whitehead.¹

     John de Forbes of that Ilk was the son of Sir Alexander de Forbes of that Ilk.¹ He married Margaret (?)¹ He died before 20 August 1387.¹
     On 3 July 1364 he had charters from teh 9th Earl of Mar of the lands of Edinbanchory and Craiglogy, which was confirmed by King DAvid II.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Aberdeen in 1374.¹ On 18 July 1378 he was granted the lands of Findrassie by the Bishop of Moray.¹

     Michael Alexander Foster was born in 1973. He is the son of Alexander Neil Foster and Hon. Gillian Rosemary Forbes.¹
