     James Hood Wilson Lownie was born on 19 June 1887.¹ He was the son of John Lownie and Charlotte Reid.¹ He married Jessie Helen Aitken, daughter of Edward Hamilton Aitken, on 12 March 1918.¹ He died on 12 April 1961 at age 73.¹
     He was educated at George Watson’s College, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He was director of John Lownie & Sons, building and public works contractors.¹ He fought in the First World War, in the Royal Engineers.¹ He lived at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹

     James Sheridan was born in 1860.¹ He was the son of Philip Sheridan and Christine Brady.¹ He died in 1906.²
