Edward Julian George Asquith, 2nd Earl of Oxford and Asquith also went by the nick-name of ‘Trim’. He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Oxford and Asquith [U.K., 1925] in 1928. He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Asquith, of Morley, co. York [U.K., 1925] in 1928. He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1961.3 He held the office of Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Seychelles between 1961 and 1967.3 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1964.3
