     George Lyon, 1st of Kirkmichael was born on 15 July 1804.1 He was the son of George Lyon and Margaret Stewart.1 He married Phoebe Johnson, daughter of Admiral unknown Johnson.1 He died in 1879.1
     He lived at Dubrusean, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.1 He sold Kirkmichael to John Stewart Lyon, 2nd of Kirkmichael at Kirkmichael, Dumfries-shire, ScotlandG.1

Laura Duncan1

     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.1
