     Archibald Barrington Seymour Douglas-Hamilton was born on 3 November 1840.¹ He was the son of Colonel Francis Seymour Douglas-Hamilton and Emma Catherine Frances Coventry.¹ He died on 18 January 1876 at age 35 at Switzerland^G, accidentally drowned.¹

     Algernon Percy Douglas-Hamilton was born on 22 June 1844.¹ He was the son of Colonel Francis Seymour Douglas-Hamilton and Emma Catherine Frances Coventry.¹ He married Idonia Charlotte Douglas-Hamilton, daughter of Douglas Douglas-Hamilton and Frances Ann Graves, on 4 November 1874 at Australia^G.^1,2 He died on 31 May 1891 at age 46 at Albury, New South Wales, Australia^G, from enteric fever.^1,2

     Idonia Charlotte Douglas-Hamilton was born on 16 February 1845 at France^G.² She was the daughter of Douglas Douglas-Hamilton and Frances Ann Graves.¹ She married Algernon Percy Douglas-Hamilton, son of Colonel Francis Seymour Douglas-Hamilton and Emma Catherine Frances Coventry, on 4 November 1874 at Australia^G.^1,2 She died on 26 August 1910 at age 65 at England.^1,2

     Douglas Douglas-Hamilton was born on 5 January 1814.¹ He was the son of Augustus Barrington Price Anne Powell Hamilton and Maria Catherine Hyde.¹ He married Frances Ann Graves, daughter of Hugh Ryves Graves and Charlotte Anne Marshall, on 14 February 1843.^1,3 He died on 3 February 1894 at age 80.^1,3
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Lanarkshire Militia.³ He gained the rank of in 1858 in the South Down Rifles.³

     Percy Seymour Douglas-Hamilton was born on 2 October 1875 at Redfern, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.^1,2 He was the son of Algernon Percy Douglas-Hamilton and Idonia Charlotte Douglas-Hamilton.¹ He married, firstly, Edith Anne Hamilton Wills, daughter of Sir Frederick Wills, 1st Bt. and Annie Hamilton, on 20 July 1901.¹ He married, secondly, Barbara Margherita Chiappini, daughter of Francis William Cubitt Chiappini and Anna Augusta Jackson, on 20 April 1929.¹ He died on 6 February 1940 at age 64 at Frensham Heights, Wynberg, Cape Province, South Africa.^1,2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He was educated at Bradfield College, Berkshire, England^G.²

     Edith Anne Hamilton Wills was born on 4 January 1871.² She was the daughter of Sir Frederick Wills, 1st Bt. and Annie Hamilton.^1,2 She married Percy Seymour Douglas-Hamilton, son of Algernon Percy Douglas-Hamilton and Idonia Charlotte Douglas-Hamilton, on 20 July 1901.¹ She died on 22 August 1927 at age 56 at Wadhurst, Sussex, England^G.^1,3
     Edith Anne Hamilton Wills also went by the nick-name of Annie.³ From 20 July 1901, her married name became Douglas-Hamilton.

     Sir Frederick Wills, 1st Bt. was born on 21 November 1838.² He was the son of Henry Overton Wills and Isabella Board.^2,3 He married Annie Hamilton, daughter of Reverend James Hamilton, on 3 July 1867.² He died on 18 February 1909 at age 70.²
     He was created 1st Baronet Wills, of Northmoor, Somerset [U.K.] on 15 November 1897.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal Union) for North Bristol between 1900 and 1906.²

     Barbara Margherita Chiappini was born on 22 March 1906 at Wynberg, Cape Province, South Africa.² She was the daughter of Francis William Cubitt Chiappini and Anna Augusta Jackson.^1,2 She married, firstly, Percy Seymour Douglas-Hamilton, son of Algernon Percy Douglas-Hamilton and Idonia Charlotte Douglas-Hamilton, on 20 April 1929.¹ She married, secondly, David George Arbuthnot, son of Major John Bernard Arbuthnot and Olive Blake, on 25 April 1946.¹ She died on 23 July 1975 at age 69 at Wynberg, Cape Province, South Africa.^1,3
     From 20 April 1929, her married name became Douglas-Hamilton. From 25 April 1946, her married name became Arbuthnot.

     David George Arbuthnot was born on 7 April 1905.³ He was the son of Major John Bernard Arbuthnot and Olive Blake.³ He married, firstly, Dorothy Elizabeth Kemeys-Tynte, Baroness Wharton, daughter of Charles Theodore Halswell Kemeys-Tynte, 8th Baron Wharton and Dorothy Ellis, on 17 May 1933.³ He and Dorothy Elizabeth Kemeys-Tynte, Baroness Wharton were divorced in 1946.³ He married, secondly, Barbara Margherita Chiappini, daughter of Francis William Cubitt Chiappini and Anna Augusta Jackson, on 25 April 1946.¹ He died on 14 November 1985 at age 80.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.³ He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)³ He was appointed Fellow, Zoological Society (F.Z.S.) in 1940.³ He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)³ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of South Africa between 1941 and 1942.³

     Francis William Cubitt Chiappini was born on 24 December 1872 at Wynberg, Cape Province, South Africa.³ He was the son of Antonio Beldazzar Melchior Gaspar Chiappini and Maria Margaretha du Plessis.³ He married Anna Augusta Jackson, daughter of Charles Henry Jackson and Johanna Reneira Catherina Cloete, on 8 January 1901 at St. John’s, Wynberg, Cape Province, South Africa.² He died on 8 August 1947 at age 74 at Wynberg, Cape Province, South Africa.³
