She was with the War Office between 1939 and 1944.3 From 18 April 1944, her married name became Hogg.1 After her marriage, Mary Evelyn Martin was styled as Viscountess Hailsham between 16 August 1950 and 20 November 1963. After her marriage, Mary Evelyn Martin was styled as Baroness Hailsham of St. Marylebone on 3 June 1970. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1974.3
