     Frederic Douglas-Hamilton was born on 12 May 1815.¹ He was the son of Augustus Barrington Price Anne Powell Hamilton and Maria Catherine Hyde.¹ He married Marina Norton, daughter of James Norton, on 25 February 1843.¹ He died on 15 May 1887 at age 72.¹
     He held the office of Minister Resident and Consul-General to Ecuador.¹

     Marina Norton was the daughter of James Norton.¹ She married Frederic Douglas-Hamilton, son of Augustus Barrington Price Anne Powell Hamilton and Maria Catherine Hyde, on 25 February 1843.¹ She died on 20 September 1871.¹
     From 25 February 1843, her married name became Douglas-Hamilton.
