F/Lt. Charles John Halswell Kemeys-Tynte, 9th Baron Wharton usually went by his middle name of John.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Wharton, of Wharton, co. Westmorland [E., 1544] on 4 March 1934.1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserves.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
Dorothy Elizabeth Kemeys-Tynte, Baroness Wharton1 
From 17 May 1933, her married name became Arbuthnot. She succeeded as the 10th Baroness Wharton, of Wharton, co. Westmorland [E., 1544] in 1934, suo jure.2 From 1946, her married name became Vintcent.
On her death, the Barony fell into abeyance from 1974 to 1990.2

Myrtle Olive Felix Arbuthnot, Baroness Wharton was born on 20 February 1934.1 She was the daughter of David George Arbuthnot and Dorothy Elizabeth Kemeys-Tynte, Baroness Wharton.1 She married Henry Macleod Robertson, son of Henry Robertson, on 17 November 1958.1 She died on 23 December 2000 at age 66.1
As of 1957, Myrtle Olive Felix Arbuthnot, Baroness Wharton used the stage-name of Ziki Arnot.2 Her married name became Robertson. The barony was in abeyance from 1974 to 1990 until terminated in her favour. She succeeded as the 11th Baroness Wharton, of Wharton, co. Westmorland [E., 1544] in 1990, suo jure.3 She was Co-Vice-chairman of the House of Lords All Party Media Group in 1994.1 She was Vice-President of the Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in 1997.1
