     Joan Grant-Dalton married Francis Henry Alexander du P. Chiappini, son of Francis William Cubitt Chiappini and Anna Augusta Jackson, on 14 May 1946 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.¹
     From 14 May 1946, her married name became Chiappini.¹

     Rear-Admiral John Richardson was born in 1862.¹ He married Elizabeth Maria Chiappini.¹ He died in 1928.¹

     Commander Hector du Plessis Richardson was born on 14 August 1900 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.¹ He was the son of Rear-Admiral John Richardson and Elizabeth Maria Chiappini.¹ He married Joy Helen Hopwood on 3 August 1929 at Sidmouth, Devon, England.¹ He married Elizabeth A. Arengo-Jones in 1947 at Berkshire, England.¹ He died on 1 January 1967 at age 66 at Northamptonshire, England.¹
     He fought in the Second World War, where he became a Japanese POW.¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Joy Helen Hopwood married Commander Hector du Plessis Richardson, son of Rear-Admiral John Richardson and Elizabeth Maria Chiappini, on 3 August 1929 at Sidmouth, Devon, England.¹
