     Sir Benjamin Barrington, 8th Bt. was born on 23 January 1950.¹ He is the son of Major John William Barrington and Annie Wetten.¹ He married Carola Christel Mogck in 1980.¹
     He lived in 2003 at 44 Cherovan Drive SW, Calgary, Alberta, Canada^G.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Barrington, of the City of Limerick [U.K., 1831] on 6 February 2003.¹

     Joan Cromwell was the daughter of Sir Henry Cromwell and Joan Warren.¹ She married Sir Francis Barrington, 1st Bt., son of Sir Thomas Barrington and Winifred Pole.¹ She died circa 1641.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) on 14 December 1641.¹
     Her married name became Barrington.¹

     Joan Warren was born in 1524 at Huntingdonshire, England^G.² She was the daughter of Sir Ralph Warren.¹ She married Sir Henry Cromwell, son of Sir Richard Cromwell and Frances Murfyn.³ She died in 1584.²
     Her married name became Cromwell.³

     Sir Ralph Warren held the office of Lord Mayor of London.¹

     Sir Thomas Barrington, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Francis Barrington, 1st Bt. and Joan Cromwell.¹ He married, secondly, Judith Lytton, daughter of Sir Rowland Lytton and Hon. Anne St. John.¹ He married, firstly, Francis Gobert, daughter of John Gobert, before 1605.¹ He died circa September 1644.¹
     He was appointed Knight before 1621.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newtown between 1621 and 1629.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Barrington, of Barrington Hall [in Hatfield Broadoak], co. Essex [E., 1611] on 3 July 1628.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Essex between April 1640 and May 1640.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Colchester between 1640 and 1644.¹

     Francis Gobert is the daughter of John Gobert.¹ She married Sir Thomas Barrington, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Francis Barrington, 1st Bt. and Joan Cromwell, before 1605.¹
     From before 1605, her married name became Barrington.¹

     John Gobert lived at Coventry, Warwickshire, England^G.¹

     Judith Lytton was the daughter of Sir Rowland Lytton and Hon. Anne St. John.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Thomas Barrington, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Francis Barrington, 1st Bt. and Joan Cromwell.¹ She married, firstly, Sir George Smith.¹ She died before 1657.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) on 22 September 1657.¹
     Her married name became Smith.¹ Her married name became Barrington.¹

     Sir George Smith married Judith Lytton, daughter of Sir Rowland Lytton and Hon. Anne St. John.¹
