Charles Peter Layard and Elizabeth Ward.^3,4 She married Lewis Gibson, son of William Gibson and Mary Cecilia Balfour, on 20 December 1806.¹ She died on 4 January 1827 at age 38.¹
     From 20 December 1806, her married name became Gibson.

     William Charles Gibson was born on 26 March 1812.¹ He was the son of Lewis Gibson and Caroline Layard.² He married Louisa Sophia Layard, daughter of Charles Edward Layard and Barbara Bridgetina Mooyaart, on 15 September 1834.¹ He died on 6 March 1892 at age 79.¹
     He held the office of Auditor-General [Ceylon].¹ He held the office of Colonial Secretary [Ceylon].¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹

     Charles Edward Layard was born on 18 October 1786 at London, England.^3,4 He was the son of Very Rev. Charles Peter Layard and Elizabeth Ward.^5,6 He married Barbara Bridgetina Mooyaart, daughter of Gualterus Mooyaart and Antonia Theodora Lebeck, on 9 December 1804.³ He died on 5 May 1852 at age 65 at Boulogne-sur-Mer, France.^3,2
     He was with the Ceylon Civil Service.¹
