     Henrietta Margaret Layard was born on 21 March 1782.¹ She was the daughter of Very Rev. Charles Peter Layard and Elizabeth Ward.¹ She died on 14 August 1855 at age 73.¹

     Sophia Catherine Layard was born on 2 August 1784.¹ She was the daughter of Very Rev. Charles Peter Layard and Elizabeth Ward.¹ She died on 24 March 1785.¹

     Caroline Bethia Layard was born on 24 October 1787.¹ She was the daughter of Very Rev. Charles Peter Layard and Elizabeth Ward.¹ She married Louis Gibson on 20 December 1806.¹ She died on 4 January 1827 at age 39.¹
     From 20 December 1806, her married name became Gibson.¹

     Louis Gibson married Caroline Bethia Layard, daughter of Very Rev. Charles Peter Layard and Elizabeth Ward, on 20 December 1806.¹ He died on 26 August 1845.¹
     He had four sons and five daughters.¹

     Louisa Frances Layard was born on 19 June 1789.¹ She was the daughter of Very Rev. Charles Peter Layard and Elizabeth Ward.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Clement Martin Edwards on 18 June 1807.¹ She died on 3 March 1851 at age 61.¹
     From 18 June 1807, her married name became Edwards.¹

     Lt.-Col. Clement Martin Edwards married Louisa Frances Layard, daughter of Very Rev. Charles Peter Layard and Elizabeth Ward, on 18 June 1807.¹ He died on 17 March 1816 at Malta.¹
     He was Assistant Military Secretary to HRH The Duke of York.¹

     Louisa Anne Edwards was born on 22 August 1809.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Clement Martin Edwards and Louisa Frances Layard.¹ She married Sir Charles Peter Layard, son of Charles Edward Layard and Barbara Bridgetina Mooyaart, on 29 March 1834.¹ She died on 31 July 1886 at age 76.¹
     From 29 March 1834, her married name became Layard.¹

     Sir Charles Peter Layard was born on 9 December 1806 at Sri Lanka.² He was the son of Charles Edward Layard and Barbara Bridgetina Mooyaart.¹ He married Louisa Anne Edwards, daughter of Lt.-Col. Clement Martin Edwards and Louisa Frances Layard, on 29 March 1834.¹ He died on 17 July 1893 at age 86 at 54 Elm Park Road, Chelsea, London, England.²
     He was educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.² He was with the Ceylon Civil Service in 1830.² He held the office of Magistrate at Jaffa between 1831 and 1832.² He was Assistant to the Collector at Colombo between 1832 and 1839.² He was District Judge of Galle between 1839 and 1840.² He was District Judge of Trincomalee between 1840 and 1851.² He was District Judge of Galle between 1850 and 1851.² He was Government Agent for the Western Provinces between 1851 and 1878.² He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1875.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1876.² He held the office of M.C.I. Ceylon.² He lived at 54 Elm Park Road, Chelsea, London, England.²
