     David Macdowall was born on 20 July 1761.² He was the son of William Macdowall, 18th of Garthland and 2nd of Castlesemple and Elizabeth ‘Black Bess’ Graham.^3,1 He married Eleanor Mary Grant, daughter of Colonel Alexander Grant, 4th of Arndilly and Eleanor Frances Murray, in 1790.² He died in 1841.²
     He was also known as David Macdowall.² On 12 April 1782 he lost a hand in Rodney’s engagement of The Saints.² He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.³ He lived at Arndilly, Banffshire, Scotland^G.

     Thomas Browne Evans was born on 31 May 1789.² He was the son of Thomas Browne Evans and Mary Hase.^2,3 He married Charlotte Simeon, daughter of Sir John Simeon, 1st Bt. and Rebecca Cornwall, on 4 July 1814.^4,2 He died on 8 August 1871 at age 82 at Wimborne, Dorset, England.⁵
     He lived at North Tuddenham, Norfolk, England.² He lived at Dean House, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Lady Elizabeth Hay was the daughter of William Hay, 4th Earl of Erroll and Christian Lyon.¹ She married William Abernethy, 5th Lord Saltoun of Abernethy, son of Alexander Abernethy, 4th Lord Saltoun of Abernethy and unknown daughter Stewart, on 23 July 1512.² She died in October 1574.²
     From 23 July 1512, her married name became Abernethy. Her last will was dated 26 March 1576.

     Kenneth Randolph Murray, 11th Earl of Dunmore was born on 6 June 1913.¹ He was the son of Arthur Charles Murray and Susan Maud Richards.¹ He married Margaret Joy Cousins, daughter of P. D. Cousins, in 1938.¹ He died on 28 September 1995 at age 82.¹
     He gained the rank of Sergeant in the 12th/50th Battalion, Australian Infantry.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Earl of Dunmore [S., 1686] in 1981.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Viscount of Fincastle [S., 1686] in 1981.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Lord Murray of Blair, Moulin and Tillemot [S., 1686] in 1981.¹ He was a village postmaster at Gravelly Beach, Tasmania, Australia^G.

     Reginald Arthur Murray, 10th Earl of Dunmore was born on 17 July 1911.¹ He was the son of Arthur Charles Murray and Susan Maud Richards.¹ He married Patricia Mary Coles, daughter of Frank Coles, in 1948.¹ He died in 1981.¹
     He succeeded as the 10th Lord Murray of Blair, Moulin and Tillemot [S., 1686] in 1980.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Earl of Dunmore [S., 1686] in 1980.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Viscount of Fincastle [S., 1686] in 1980.¹

     Arthur Charles Murray was born on 9 September 1882.¹ He was the son of Reginald Augustus Frederick Murray and Jane Louisa Otway Ford.¹ He married, firstly, Susan Maud Richards, daughter of Edward Richards, in 1909.¹ He married, secondly, Ida Clare Mallinson, daughter of John Mallinson, on 31 December 1929.¹ He died on 5 September 1964 at age 81.¹
     He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.¹

     Lt.-Col. Hon. Alexander Murray was baptised on 12 October 1764 at Airth, Stirlingshire, Scotland.^1,2 He was the son of John Murray, 4th Earl of Dunmore and Lady Charlotte Stewart.¹ He married Deborah Hunt, daughter of Robert Hunt, on 18 May 1811.¹ He died in July 1842 at age 77.¹

     Deborah Hunt was the daughter of Robert Hunt.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Hon. Alexander Murray, son of John Murray, 4th Earl of Dunmore and Lady Charlotte Stewart, on 18 May 1811.¹ She died on 28 January 1870.
     Her married name became Murray.

     Robert Hunt was Commander-in-Chief of the Bahamas.¹

     Virginius Murray was born on 20 September 1817 at Marylebone, London, England.^1,2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Alexander Murray and Deborah Hunt.¹ He married Elizabeth Alicia Poitiers, daughter of Colonel Charles Poitiers, on 23 October 1844.¹ He died on 25 December 1861 at age 44 at Victoria, Australia.^1,2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 94th Foot.¹
