     Lady Louisa Nugent was born in 1758.² She was the daughter of Robert Nugent, 1st Earl Nugent and Elizabeth Drax.¹ She married Admiral Sir Eliab Harvey, son of William Harvey and Emma Skynner, in 1784.¹ She died after 1841.
     From 1784, her married name became Harvey.¹

     Susan Caroline Drummond was born circa 1818. She was the daughter of Andrew Mortimer Drummond and Lady Emily Charlotte Percy.¹ She married Harvey Drummond, son of John Drummond and Georgina Augusta Harvey, on 16 April 1844.¹ She died on 3 February 1905.¹

     Elizabeth Compton was the daughter of Hon. Charles Compton and Mary Lucy.² She married Hon. Henry Drummond, son of William Drummond, 4th Viscount Strathallan and Hon. Margaret Nairne Murray, on 21 March 1761.¹ She died on 25 March 1819.¹
     Her married name became Drummond.

     David Drummond, 3rd Lord Maderty was the son of John Drummond, 2nd Lord Maderty and Margaret Leslie.¹ He married, firstly, Alison Creighton, daughter of John Creighton of Haltoun and Luncardie, on 6 February 1637/38.¹ He married by contract, secondly, Lady Beatrix Graham, daughter of John Graham, 4th Earl of Montrose and Lady Margaret Ruthven, on 10 December 1641.² He died in 1684.²
     He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Maderty [S., 1609] between 1649 and 1651.¹

     Henry Drummond was born on 13 January 1762.² He was the son of Hon. Henry Drummond and Elizabeth Compton.² He married Hon. Anne Dundas, daughter of Henry Dundas, 1st Viscount Melville of Melville and Elizabeth Rannie, on 13 February 1786.¹ He died on 4 July 1794 at age 32.¹
     He was partner of Drummond’s Bank.² He lived at London, England^G.

     Hon. Anne Dundas was born on 28 September 1768 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Henry Dundas, 1st Viscount Melville of Melville and Elizabeth Rannie.³ She married, firstly, Henry Drummond, son of Hon. Henry Drummond and Elizabeth Compton, on 13 February 1786.¹ She married, secondly, James Charles Edward Stuart Strange, son of Sir Robert Strange of Balcaskie and Isabella Lumisden, on 18 December 1798 at Balcaskie, Fife, Scotland.¹ She died in January 1852 at age 83 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.^1,2
     From 13 February 1786, her married name became Drummond. From 18 December 1798, her married name became Strange.

     Henry Dundas, 1st Viscount Melville of Melville was born on 28 April 1742.³ He was the son of Robert Dundas, Lord Arniston and Anne Gordon.^4,5 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Rannie, daughter of David Rannie, on 16 August 1765.³ He and Elizabeth Rannie were divorced in 1778.⁶ He married, secondly, Lady Jane Hope, daughter of John Hope, 2nd Earl of Hopetoun and Jane Oliphant, on 2 April 1793 at St. Marylebone, London, England^G.^4,7 He died on 29 May 1811 at age 69.⁴
     He was a practising advocate in 1763.³ He held the office of Solicitor-General [Scotland] between 1766 and 1775.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Midlothian between 1774 and 1780.³ He held the office of Lord President, Court of Session between 1775 and 1783.³ He held the office of Lord Advocate [Scotland] between 1775 and 1783.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Newtown, Isle of Wight in 1782.³ He held the office of Trasurer of the Navy between 1782 and April 1783.³ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) between 1782 and 1805.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Midlothian between 1783 and 1790.³ He held the office of Trasurer of the Navy between December 1783 and 1800.³ He held the office of a Lord of Trade between 1784 and 1786.³ He was Commissioner, Board of Indian Affairs between 1784 and 1793.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Edinburgh between 1790 and 1802.³ He held the office of Home Secretary between 1791 and 1794.³ He held the office of President of the Board of Control, India between 1793 and 1801.³ He held the office of Secretary of War between 1794 and 1801.³ He held the office of Privy Seal [Scotland] between 1800 and 1811.³ He was created 1st Baron Dunira, co. Perth [U.K.] on 24 December 1802.³ He was created 1st Viscount Melville of Melville, co. Edinburgh [U.K.] on 24 December 1802.³ He held the office of First Lord of the Admiralty between 1804 and 1805.³ He resigned after a House of Commons motion that he had breached the law and his duty when Treasurer of the Navy, but the House of Lords found him not guilty the following year.³ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1807.³ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.⁸
     

     Elizabeth Rannie was born circa 1750.² She was the daughter of David Rannie.¹ She married Henry Dundas, 1st Viscount Melville of Melville, son of Robert Dundas, Lord Arniston and Anne Gordon, on 16 August 1765.¹ She and Henry Dundas, 1st Viscount Melville of Melville were divorced in 1778.² She died in 1847.²
     From 16 August 1765, her married name became Dundas.

     David Rannie lived at Melville Castle, Lasswade, Midlothian, Scotland.¹
