     Amelia Benwell was born in 1791.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Benwell. She married Henry Tritton, son of John Henton Tritton and Mary Barclay, on 8 March 1814.² She died on 28 March 1855.²
     Her married name became Tritton.

     Katherine Maxwell is the daughter of John Maxwell of Pollok and Margaret Blair.¹ She married John Fullerton of that Ilk in 1515.¹
     From 1515, her married name became Fullerton.¹

     Samuel Ashton was born on 16 December 1742 at Pole Bank, Gee Cross, Hyde, Cheshire, England^G.^1,2 He was the son of Benjamin Ashton and Elizabeth Lees.¹ He married Mary Oldham, daughter of John Oldham.¹ He died in 1812.¹
     He lived at Gerrards, Hyde, Cheshire, England^G.¹

     Lady Augusta Hay was born on 25 April 1766. She was the daughter of James Hay, 15th Earl of Erroll and Isabella Carr.¹ She married George Boyle, 4th Earl of Glasgow, son of John Boyle, 3rd Earl of Glasgow and Elizabeth Ross, on 8 March 1788.² She died on 23 July 1822 at age 56.²
     From 8 March 1788, her married name became Boyle. After her marriage, Lady Augusta Hay was styled as Countess of Glasgow on 8 March 1788.

     Julia Sinclair was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir John Sinclair of Ulbster, 1st Bt. and Diana Macdonald.^1,2 She married George Boyle, 4th Earl of Glasgow, son of John Boyle, 3rd Earl of Glasgow and Elizabeth Ross, on 13 November 1824.¹ She died on 19 February 1868.¹
     After her marriage, Julia Sinclair was styled as Countess of Glasgow on 13 November 1824. From 13 November 1824, her married name became Boyle.

     Rt. Hon. Sir John Sinclair of Ulbster, 1st Bt. was born on 10 May 1754 at Thurso, Caithness, Scotland^G.³ He was the son of George Sinclair of Ulbster and Janet Sutherland.^1,3 He married, firstly, Sarah Maitland, daughter of Alexander Maitland, on 26 March 1776 at St. Martins in the Fields, London, England^G.^4,5 He married, secondly, Diana Macdonald, daughter of Alexander Macdonald, 1st Baron Macdonald of Slate and Elizabeth Diana Bosville, on 6 March 1788.³ He died on 21 December 1835 at age 81.³
     He was created 1st Baronet Sinclair, of Ulbster, co. Caithness [Great Britain] on 14 February 1786, with special remainder to the male issue of his daughters by primogeniture.³ He graduated with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)³ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Astronomical SOciety (F.R.A.S.)³ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)³ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Caithness and Rothesay Fencibles.³ He was founder and President of the Board of Agriculture.³ He held the office of Cashier of Excise, Soctland.³ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)³ He was an agricultural innovator.³ He wrote the book Statistical Account of Scotland.³ He lived at Ulbster, Caithness, Scotland.³

     Benjamin Ashton was born in 1718.¹ He was the son of Samuel Ashton and Jane Kinder.¹ He married Elizabeth Lees, daughter of Edward Lees, on 28 March 1742 at Peak Forest Chapel, England^G.^1,2 He died in 1791.¹
