     Alexander Maitland was baptised on 8 November 1715 at Tongland.¹ He was the son of John Maitland and Margaret Gordon.¹ He died on 20 February 1775 at age 59.¹
     He lived at Stoke Newington, London, England.²

     William Maitland was born in 1716.¹ He was the son of John Maitland and Margaret Gordon.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the Austrian Army.¹

     Anne Maitland was baptised on 20 November 1705.¹ She was the daughter of John Maitland and Margaret Gordon.¹

     Joan Maitland was born on 23 January 1707 at Tongland.¹ She was the daughter of John Maitland and Margaret Gordon.¹ She died, unmarried.¹

     Mary Maitland was born in 1712.¹ She was the daughter of John Maitland and Margaret Gordon.¹

     Barbara Maitland was born in 1708.¹ She was the daughter of John Maitland and Margaret Gordon.¹

     Sarah Maitland was born in 1719.¹ She was the daughter of John Maitland and Margaret Gordon.¹

     Ursula Gorham is the daughter of John Gorham.¹ She married Robert Maitland, son of John Maitland and Margaret Gordon, on 16 December 1740 at St. Giles Without, Cripplegate, London, England.¹
     From 16 December 1740, her married name became Maitland.¹
