     Hon. Gerald Ernest Francis Ward was born on 9 November 1877.¹ He was the son of William Ward, 1st Earl of Dudley and Georgina Elisabeth Moncreiffe.¹ He married Lady Evelyn Selina Louisa Crichton, daughter of John Henry Crichton, 4th Earl Erne of Crom Castle and Lady Florence Mary Cole, on 7 November 1899.¹ He died on 30 October 1914 at age 36, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 1st Life Guards.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.¹ He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹

     Rachel Gurney was born on 8 August 1868.³ She was the daughter of Charles Henry Gurney and Alice Marie Prinsep.¹ She married William Humble Ward, 2nd Earl of Dudley, son of William Ward, 1st Earl of Dudley and Georgina Elisabeth Moncreiffe, on 14 September 1891.¹ She died on 26 June 1920 at age 51.¹
     From 14 September 1891, her married name became Ward. After her marriage, Rachel Gurney was styled as Countess of Dudley on 14 September 1891. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹

     William Humble Eric Ward, 3rd Earl of Dudley was born on 20 January 1894.¹ He was the son of William Humble Ward, 2nd Earl of Dudley and Rachel Gurney.⁴ He married, firstly, Lady Rosemary Millicent Leveson-Gower, daughter of Cromartie Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 4th Duke of Sutherland and Lady Millicent Fanny St. Clair-Erskine, on 8 March 1919.¹ He married, secondly, Frances Laura Charteris, daughter of Captain Hon. Guy Lawrence Charteris and Frances Lucy Tennant, on 25 February 1943.¹ He and Frances Laura Charteris were divorced in 1954.¹ He married, thirdly, Grace Maria Kolin, daughter of Dr. Michael Kolin, on 17 July 1961.¹ He died on 26 December 1969 at age 75.¹

Warwick [E., 1644] on 29 June 1932.⁴ He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Dudley, of Dudley Castle, co. Stafford [U.K., 1860] on 29 June 1932.⁴ He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Ednam, of Ednam, co. Roxburgh [U.K., 1860] on 29 June 1932.⁴ He was Colonel of the 51st (Midland) Medical Brigade between 1933 and 1936.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Air Commodore between 1939 and 1949 in the No. 915 (Warwick) Squadron, Auxiliary Air Force.¹ He held the office of Lord High Steward of Kidderminster.¹

     Lady Gladys Honor Ward was born circa 1892. She was the daughter of William Humble Ward, 2nd Earl of Dudley and Rachel Gurney.¹ She married Major Percival Cunningham Allan Bridgeman, son of F. Orlando Bridgeman, on 20 February 1923.¹ She and Major Percival Cunningham Allan Bridgeman were divorced in 1932.¹ She died on 5 December 1961.¹
     Her married name became Bridgeman.

     Lady Morvyth Lillian Ward was born circa 1896. She was the daughter of William Humble Ward, 2nd Earl of Dudley and Rachel Gurney.¹ She married A/Cdre. Constantine Evelyn Benson, son of Robert Henry Benson, on 29 June 1921.¹ She died on 11 March 1959.¹
     Her married name became Benson.

     Lt.-Col. Hon. Roderick John Ward was born on 13 April 1902.¹ He was the son of William Humble Ward, 2nd Earl of Dudley and Rachel Gurney.¹ He married, firstly, Eileen Patricia Hartigan, daughter of Lt.-Col. Marcus Michael Hartigan, on 28 September 1928.¹ He and Eileen Patricia Hartigan were divorced in 1936.¹ He married, secondly, Valerie Maud Skelton, daughter of Robert Jeremiah Skelton, on 11 May 1940.¹ He and Valerie Maud Skelton were divorced in 1947.¹ He married, thirdly, Charlotte Anne Park Osborne, daughter of Captain Charles Frederick Osborne, on 3 March 1947.¹ He died on 2 October 1952 at age 50.¹ He was buried at Garden of Remembrance, Great Whitley, Worcestershire, England^G.²

     Lady Alexandra Patricia Ward was born on 24 August 1904.¹ She was the daughter of William Humble Ward, 2nd Earl of Dudley and Rachel Gurney.¹ She died on 7 July 1964 at age 59, unmarried.¹
     Lady Alexandra Patricia Ward usually went by her middle name of Patricia.¹

     G/Capt. Hon. Edward Frederick Ward was born on 20 November 1907.¹ He was the son of William Humble Ward, 2nd Earl of Dudley and Rachel Gurney.¹ He married, firstly, Pauline Katharine Winn, daughter of Hon. Charles John Frederick Winn and Hon. Olive Cecilia Paget, on 30 November 1940.¹ He and Pauline Katharine Winn were divorced in 1947.¹ He married, secondly, Hon. Alathea Gwendoline Alys Mary Fitzalan-Howard, daughter of Henry Edmund Fitzalan-Howard, 2nd Viscount FitzAlan of Derwent and Joyce Elizabeth Mary Langdale, on 2 July 1953.¹ He died in 1987.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 10th Hussars.¹ He gained the rank of Group Captain in the Royal Air Force.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was chairman of South Durham Steel and Iron Company.¹

     George Reginald Ward, 1st and last Viscount Ward of Witley was born on 20 November 1907 at London, England.¹ He was the son of William Humble Ward, 2nd Earl of Dudley and Rachel Gurney.¹ He married, firstly, Anne Diana France Ayesha Capel, daughter of Captain Arthur Edward Capel and Hon. Diana Lister, on 30 May 1940.¹ He and Anne Diana France Ayesha Capel were divorced in 1951.¹ He married, secondly, Barbara Mary Colonsay McNeill, daughter of Captain Ronald Frank Rous McNeill and Kathleen Beart, on 15 March 1962.¹ He died on 15 June 1988 at age 80 at London, England.¹
     He was created 1st Viscount Ward of Witley [U.K.] in 1960.¹

     William Humble David Ward, 4th Earl of Dudley was born on 5 January 1920.¹ He was the son of William Humble Eric Ward, 3rd Earl of Dudley and Lady Rosemary Millicent Leveson-Gower.¹ He married, firstly, Stella Carcano y Morra, daughter of Dr. Don Miguel Angel Carcano and Stella de Morra, on 10 January 1946.¹ He and Stella Carcano y Morra were divorced in 1961.¹ He married, secondly, Maureen Swanson, daughter of James David Munro Swanson, on 24 August 1961.³ He died on 16 November 2013 at age 93.⁴
