William Ward, 1st Earl of Dudley1 

William Ward, 1st Earl of Dudley was born on 27 March 1817.3 He was the son of William Humble Ward, 10th Baron Ward of Birmingham and Amelia Pillans.1 He married, firstly, Selina Constance de Burgh, daughter of Hubert de Burgh and Marianne Tollemache, on 24 April 1851.3 He married, secondly, Georgina Elisabeth Moncreiffe, daughter of Sir Thomas Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 7th Bt. and Lady Louisa Hay-Drummond, on 21 November 1865.3 He died on 7 May 1885 at age 68 at Park Lane, Mayfair, London, EnglandG.3 He was buried at St. Michael & All Angels, Great Witley, Worcestershire, EnglandG.2
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.3 He purchased the Glengarry portion of the estates from Aeneas Ranaldson Macdonell, 16th of Glengarry.3 He succeeded as the 11th Baron Ward of Birmingham, co. Georgina Elisabeth Moncreiffe was born on 9 August 1846.3 She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 7th Bt. and Lady Louisa Hay-Drummond.1,3 She married William Ward, 1st Earl of Dudley, son of William Humble Ward, 10th Baron Ward of Birmingham and Amelia Pillans, on 21 November 1865.1 She died on 2 February 1929 at age 82.1
From 21 November 1865, her married name became Ward. After her marriage, Georgina Elisabeth Moncreiffe was styled as Countess of Dudley on 21 November 1865. She was served with the British Red Cross Society during the Boer War.3 She was appointed Dame of Justice, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.J.St.J.)1 She was served with the British Red Cross Society during the First World War.3 She was awarded the Royal Red Cross (R.R.C.)1
