     Amelia Pillans was born circa 1797.¹ She was the daughter of William Cooch Pillans.¹ She married William Humble Ward, 10th Baron Ward of Birmingham, son of Humble Ward and Susannah Beecroft, on 22 May 1816.¹ She died on 23 May 1882.¹
     Her married name became Ward. After her marriage, Amelia Pillans was styled as Baroness Ward of Birmingham on 6 March 1833.

     William Ward, 1st Earl of Dudley was born on 27 March 1817.³ He was the son of William Humble Ward, 10th Baron Ward of Birmingham and Amelia Pillans.¹ He married, firstly, Selina Constance de Burgh, daughter of Hubert de Burgh and Marianne Tollemache, on 24 April 1851.³ He married, secondly, Georgina Elisabeth Moncreiffe, daughter of Sir Thomas Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 7th Bt. and Lady Louisa Hay-Drummond, on 21 November 1865.³ He died on 7 May 1885 at age 68 at Park Lane, Mayfair, London, England^G.³ He was buried at St. Michael & All Angels, Great Witley, Worcestershire, England^G.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.³ He purchased the Glengarry portion of the estates from Aeneas Ranaldson Macdonell, 16th of Glengarry.³ He succeeded as the 11th Baron Ward of Birmingham, co. Warwick [E., 1644] on 6 December 1835.³ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.³ He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.³ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Worcestershire Yeomanry.³ He held the office of Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery.³ He held the office of Trustee of the National Gallery.³ He was created 1st Earl of Dudley, of Dudley Castle, co. Stafford [U.K.] on 17 February 1860.³ He was created 1st Viscount Ednam, of Ednam, co. Roxburgh [U.K.] on 17 February 1860.³

     Hon. Humble Dudley Ward was born on 20 December 1821.¹ He was the son of William Humble Ward, 10th Baron Ward of Birmingham and Amelia Pillans.¹ He married Eleanor Louisa Hawkes, daughter of Thomas Hawkes, on 17 December 1843.¹ He died on 14 December 1870 at age 48.¹

     Hon. Julia Susannah Ward was the daughter of William Humble Ward, 10th Baron Ward of Birmingham and Amelia Pillans.^1,2 She married Rt. Rev. Thomas Legh Claughton on 14 June 1842.² She died on 28 May 1902.²
     Her married name became Claughton.

     Amelia Ward was the daughter of William Humble Ward, 10th Baron Ward of Birmingham and Amelia Pillans. She died, in infancy.

     Anna Maria Ward was the daughter of William Humble Ward, 10th Baron Ward of Birmingham and Amelia Pillans. She died, in infancy.

     Selina Constance de Burgh was born on 11 November 1829. She was the daughter of Hubert de Burgh and Marianne Tollemache.¹ She married William Ward, 1st Earl of Dudley, son of William Humble Ward, 10th Baron Ward of Birmingham and Amelia Pillans, on 24 April 1851.¹ She died on 14 November 1851 at age 22.¹
     From 24 April 1851, her married name became Ward. After her marriage, Selina Constance de Burgh was styled as Baroness Ward of Birmingham on 24 April 1851.

     Hubert de Burgh married Marianne Tollemache, daughter of Admiral John Richard Delap Tollemache and Lady Elizabeth Stratford, on 6 September 1827.² He died in 1875.²
     He lived at West Drayton, London, England^G.¹

     Georgina Elisabeth Moncreiffe was born on 9 August 1846.³ She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 7th Bt. and Lady Louisa Hay-Drummond.^1,3 She married William Ward, 1st Earl of Dudley, son of William Humble Ward, 10th Baron Ward of Birmingham and Amelia Pillans, on 21 November 1865.¹ She died on 2 February 1929 at age 82.¹
     From 21 November 1865, her married name became Ward. After her marriage, Georgina Elisabeth Moncreiffe was styled as Countess of Dudley on 21 November 1865. She was served with the British Red Cross Society during the Boer War.³ She was appointed Dame of Justice, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.J.St.J.)¹ She was served with the British Red Cross Society during the First World War.³ She was awarded the Royal Red Cross (R.R.C.)¹
