     Maj.-Gen. William Stewart was born in 1769 at Caithness, Scotland.¹ He was the son of William Stewart.¹ He married Sylvia Anne Wolfe.¹ He died on 8 April 1854 at New South Wales, Australia.¹
     He was commissioned in 1794 with the rank of Ensign, in the service of the 101st Regiment.¹ He fought in the Peninsular Wars between 1808 and 1812.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in August 1810.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in 1819.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales between April 1825 and 1827.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in July 1830.¹

     Edward Henry Charles James Fox-Strangways, 7th Earl of Ilchester was born on 1 October 1905.¹ He was the son of Giles Stephen Holland Fox-Strangways, 6th Earl of Ilchester and Lady Helen Mary Theresa Vane-Tempest-Stewart.¹ He married Helen Elizabeth Ward, daughter of Captain Hon. Cyril Augustus Ward and Baroness Irene Blanche Nicolette van Brienen, on 27 April 1931.² He died on 21 August 1964 at age 58, without surviving male issue.²
     Edward Henry Charles James Fox-Strangways, 7th Earl of Ilchester usually went by his middle name of Harry.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Horse Guards, Reserve of Officers.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dorset in 1957.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Lord Ilchester, co. Somerset, Baron of Woodford Strangways, co. Dorset [G.B., 1741] on 29 October 1959.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Lord Ilchester and Stavordale, Baron of Redlynch, co. Somerset [G.B., 1747] on 29 October 1959.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Ilchester [G.B., 1756] on 29 October 1959.¹

     Lt.-Col. Marcus Michael Hartigan was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹

     S/Ldr. Mathieu Donald Einhorn was born on 21 August 1921 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands^G.² He married Ellen-Ruth Berglas in 1944 at Marylebone, London, England^G.³ He died on 20 July 2007 at age 85.⁴
     He was educated at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, U.S.A.^G.⁵ He gained the rank of Pilot Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force.⁵ He fought in the Second World War, in Britain, North Afirca, Sicily, Italy, Syria and Palestine.⁵ He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force. He was with Berglas Brothers, worsted spinners between 1953 and 1975.⁵ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Magistrate, Harrogate Bench.⁵ He was a sales manager with Reuben Gaunt in 1975.⁵ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1984.⁴ He lived at Cragg Hill House, Killinghall, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Captain Charles Frederick Osborne lived at Broadstone, Dorset, England^G.¹ He was awarded the Royal Naval and Royal Marine Forces Reserve Decoration (R.D.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Naval Reserve.¹

     Roderick Adrian Hamilton was born on 25 August 1959.¹ He is the son of Brigadier Bruce Meade Hamilton and Mary Elizabeth Walter.¹
