     Margaret Winifred Benson also went by the nick-name of ‘Daisy’. Her married name became Wake.

     Elizabeth Lavender Dawnay was born on 29 June 1914.¹ She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Guy Payan Dawnay and Cecil Buxton.¹ She married Peter Noel Loxley, son of Captain Arthur Noel Loxley and Gladys Maude Brooke-Hunt, on 26 July 1938.¹ She died on 23 March 1995 at age 80.¹
     From 26 July 1938, her married name became Loxley.¹

     Peter Noel Loxley was born on 27 March 1905.² He was the son of Captain Arthur Noel Loxley and Gladys Maude Brooke-Hunt.¹ He married Elizabeth Lavender Dawnay, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Guy Payan Dawnay and Cecil Buxton, on 26 July 1938.¹ He died on 1 February 1945 at age 39, killed in an aircraft accident while on an official mission for H.M. Diplomatic Service.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)²

     Captain Arthur Noel Loxley was born in 1874. He was the son of Reverend Arthur Smart Loxley and Alice Mary Duncombe.² He married Gladys Maude Brooke-Hunt, daughter of Charles George Brooke-Hunt and Getrude Price, in 1900. He died on 1 January 1915, killed in action, in command of H.M.S. Formidable.²
     Captain Arthur Noel Loxley usually went by his middle name of Noel.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G. He gained the rank of Midshipman in 1890 in the Royal Navy. He gained the rank of Captain in 1911 in the Royal Navy.¹ He fought in the First World War.

     Maj.-Gen. Alan Geoffrey Charles Dawnay was born on 24 March 1888.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Lewis Rayan Dawnay and Lady Victoria Alexandrina Elizabeth Grey.¹ He married Elizabeth Sofia Bulteel, daughter of John George Bulteel and Maraquita Masini Grenfell, on 3 August 1914.¹ He died on 28 September 1938 at age 50.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches eight times.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.¹ He gained the rank of GSO(1) between 1930 and 1933 in the War Office.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He was Comptroller BBC (Programmes Division) between 1933 and 1935.¹ He was commander of the Irish Guards Regiment between 1935 and 1936.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Brigadier in 1936.¹ He was Director of PR, War Office in 1937.¹
