Con ‘Baccach’ O’Neill, 1st Earl of Tyrone1 
Con ‘Baccach’ O’Neill, 1st Earl of Tyrone also went by the nick-name of Con ‘Baccach’ (or in English, ‘the Lame.4‘) He murdered Henry ‘Og’ O’Neill, King of Ulster on 21 July 1498.2 He gained the title of King of Ulster in 1519.2 He fought for a long period against the English to maintain his status as an independent sovereign, leading to his peerage.2 He was created 1st Earl of Tyrone [Ireland] on 1 October 1542, with special remainder to his illegitimate son Ferdoragh.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1543.2

Kenneth Mackenzie, 3rd Earl of Seaforth1 
Kenneth Mackenzie, 3rd Earl of Seaforth was the son of George Mackenzie, 2nd Earl of Seaforth and Barbara Forbes.1 He married Isabel Mackenzie, daughter of Sir John Mackenzie of Tarbat, 1st Bt. and Margaret Erskine, circa 1660.1 He died in December 1678.1
He was educated at King’s College, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.1 He fought in the Battle of Worcester in 1651, as a Royalist.1 He succeeded as the 4th Lord Mackenzie of Kintail [S., 1609] in August 1651.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Seaforth [S., 1623] in August 1651.1 In 1654 his estates were confiscated.1 Between 1656 and 1660 he was imprisoned.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Ross in 1662.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1674.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Ross in 1675.1
