     Robert Stewart, 8th of Appin was the son of Alan Stewart and Margaret Maclean.2 He married Isabel MacLeod, daughter of Ian ‘Breac’ Macleod, 18th of MacLeod and Florence Macdonald.1 He married Anne Campbell, daughter of Sir Alexander Campbell, 6th of Lochnell, in 1710.2 He died before 1739.2
