     Sir Thomas FitzGerald was born circa 1456 at Lackagh, County Kildare, Ireland.2 He was the son of Thomas FitzMaurice FitzGerald, 7th Earl of Kildare and Lady Joan FitzGerald.1 He married Hon. Anne Preston, daughter of Robert Preston, 1st Viscount Gormanston and Janet Molyneux, after 1478.2 He died on 16 June 1487, killed in action.1
     He lived at Lackagh, County Kildare, IrelandG.1 He was ancestor of the Fitzgeralds of Lackagh, Kilrush and Narraghbeg, County Kildare.1 He held the office of Chancellor of Ireland in 1484.1 He fought in the Battle of Stoke on 16 June 1487, fighting for Lambert Simnel.1

     Lady Eleanor FitzGerald was the daughter of Thomas FitzMaurice FitzGerald, 7th Earl of Kildare and Lady Joan FitzGerald.1 She married Conn ‘Mor’ O’Neill, King of Ulster, son of Henry O’Neill, King of Ulster and Síle Burke, before 1479.2 She died on 14 November 1497.2
     From before 1479, her married name became O’Neill.1

     Conn ‘Mor’ O’Neill, King of Ulster was the son of Henry O’Neill, King of Ulster and Síle Burke.2 He married, firstly, unknown O’Cahan.2 He married, secondly, Lady Eleanor FitzGerald, daughter of Thomas FitzMaurice FitzGerald, 7th Earl of Kildare and Lady Joan FitzGerald, before 1479.2 He was murdered on 8 January 1493 by Henry ‘Og’ O’Neill, King of Ulster.2
     He gained the title of King of Ulster in 1483.1
