     Margaret O’Neill is the daughter of Aedh O’Neill and Siobhan O’Donnell.² She married, firstly, Sir James Mac Sorley Mac Donnell, son of Sorley ‘Buie’ MacDonnel and Mary O’Neill.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Cormac McBaron O’Neill, son of Ferdoragh O’Neill, 1st Baron of Dungannon and Joan Maguire.¹
     She was perhaps identical with the daughter of the 3rd and last Earl of Tyrone who married (in which case this daughter married 2nd) Sir Brian MacMahon, Chief of his Name.² Her married name became MacDonnell.

     Herman Theodore Augustus Alt was born in 1734.¹ He was the son of Jost Heinrich Baron Alt and Jeanetta Preston.¹ He died in 1815.¹
     He was General Surveyor, First Fleet.¹

     Sir Brian MacPhelim O’Neill was the son of Feidhlimidh ‘Bacah’ O’Neill.² He married, firstly, Amy O’Neill, daughter of Brian ‘Carrach’ O’Neill.² He married, secondly, unnamed Scotswoman (?) after April 1568.² He died in 1575 at Carrickfergus, County Antrim, Ireland, put to death by the English Governor of Ulster.²
     He was appointed Knight.² He was Captain or Lord of Clannaboy, as which he was initially recognised by the English.² He was he was obliged to repulse an invasion by the English Governor of Ulster who crossed the Ford of Belfast in 1573.² In 1574 although the Governorof Ulster was welcomed by Sir Brian as a guest arranged the massacre of 200 of Sir Brian’s people and took Sir Brian, his wife and his half-brother Rory Og MacQuillin in chains to Carrickfergus.²

     William Gerard Alt was born in 1736.¹ He was the son of Jost Heinrich Baron Alt and Jeanetta Preston.¹ He died in 1760.¹

     Amy O’Neill is the daughter of Brian ‘Carrach’ O’Neill.² She married Sir Brian MacPhelim O’Neill, son of Feidhlimidh ‘Bacah’ O’Neill.¹
     Her married name became O’Neill.

     Shane Mac Brian O’Neill was the son of Sir Brian MacPhelim O’Neill and Amy O’Neill.² He married, firstly, Rose Guinness, daughter of unknown Magennis.¹ He married, secondly, Anne O’Neill, daughter of Brian ‘Carrach’ O’Neill.¹ He died on 23 April 1616.¹
     Rival claimants to the Chieftship prevented him retaining his original land holdings.¹ He was Captain or Lord of Clannaboy, as which recognised (and installed) by the English in April 1583.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Antrim [Ireland] in 1585.¹ In 1598 he joined his cousin 3rd Earl of Tyrone’s Rising but was pardoned.¹ Between 1603 and 1610 at the Plantation of Ulster the Clannaboy O’Neills were stripped of over 600,000 acres, but the Chief was allowed to keep c 120,000 acres and Shane’s Castle.¹

     unnamed Scotswoman (?) married Sir Brian MacPhelim O’Neill, son of Feidhlimidh ‘Bacah’ O’Neill, after April 1568.¹ She died in 1575, put to death by the English Governor of Ulster.¹
     From after April 1568, her married name became O’Neill.

     Phelim ‘Dubh’ O’Neill was the son of Sir Brian MacPhelim O’Neill and unnamed Scotswoman (?)² He died, killed in prison by the English.¹

     Con O’Neill was the son of Sir Brian MacPhelim O’Neill and unnamed Scotswoman (?)² He died in 1585, killed.¹

     Aedh ‘Og’ O’Neill was the son of Con O’Neill.² He died on 20 March 1616/17.¹
     In 1606 he supported his cousin 3rd Earl of Tyrone against the English but was pardoned.¹
