Maj.-Gen. Sir Harold Augustus Wernher, 3rd Bt. was born on 16 January 1893 at London, EnglandG.3 He was the son of Sir Julius Charles Wernher, 1st Bt. and Alice Sedgwick Mankiewicz. He married Anastasia Mikhailovna de Torby, Countess de Torby, daughter of Mikhail Mikhailovich Romanov, Grand Duke of Russia and Sophie Nikolaievna von Merenberg, Countess de Torbay, on 20 July 1917 at London, EnglandG.3 He died on 30 June 1973 at age 80.
He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Wernher.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.)4 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)4
