     Reverend Patrick Boyle was born on 7 January 1717 at Canongate, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.² He was the son of John Boyle, 2nd Earl of Glasgow and Helen Morison.¹ He married, firstly, Agnes Mure, daughter of William Mure of Caldwell and Anne Steuart, on 14 August 1749.¹ He married by contract, secondly, Elizabeth Dunlop, daughter of Alexander Dunlop, on 31 March 1763.¹ He died on 26 February 1798 at age 81.¹
     He lived at Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Helen Morison was born in 1692 at Prestongrange, East Lothian, Scotland^G.² She was the daughter of William Morison.¹ A contract for the marriage of Helen Morison and John Boyle, 2nd Earl of Glasgow was signed on 11 February 1707.¹ She died on 7 July 1770 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.²
     Her married name became Boyle. After her marriage, Helen Morison was styled as Countess of Glasgow on 31 October 1733.

     Rt. Hon. David Boyle was born on 26 July 1772 at Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.³ He was the son of Reverend Patrick Boyle and Elizabeth Dunlop.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Montgomerie, daughter of Alexander Montgomerie and Elizabeth Taylor, on 24 December 1804.¹ He married, secondly, Catherine Campbell Smythe, daughter of David Smythe, Lord Methven and Euphemia Aemilia Murray, on 17 July 1827.² He died on 4 February 1853 at age 80 at London, England.³
     He held the office of Lord Justice-General and President of the Court of Session.² He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.⁴
     

     Dr. John Taylor was in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹

     George Ross, 13th Lord Ross of Halkhead was born circa 1682. He was the son of William Ross, 12th Lord Ross of Halkhead and Agnes Wilkie. He married Lady Elizabeth Kerr, daughter of Lt.-Gen. William Kerr, 2nd Marquess of Lothian and Lady Jane Campbell.¹ He died on 17 June 1754.² He was buried at Renfrew, Renfrewshire, Scotland^G.
     He gained the title of 13th Lord Ross of Halkhead. He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms as 16th of Balnagowan, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court 16th of Balnagowan in 1745.²

     William Mure of Caldwell was the son of James Mure. He married Anne Steuart, daughter of Sir James Steuart.² He died in 1722.³
     He lived at Caldwell, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Elizabeth Dunlop was born in 1740 at Scotland^G.² She was the daughter of Alexander Dunlop.¹ A contract for the marriage of Elizabeth Dunlop and Reverend Patrick Boyle was signed on 31 March 1763.¹ She died on 21 March 1832 at Shewalton, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.²
     From 31 March 1763, her married name became Boyle.²

     Elizabeth Montgomerie was born at Shewalton, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.² She was the daughter of Alexander Montgomerie and Elizabeth Taylor.³ She married Rt. Hon. David Boyle, son of Reverend Patrick Boyle and Elizabeth Dunlop, on 24 December 1804.¹ She died on 14 April 1822 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.²
     Her married name became Boyle.

     Alexander Montgomerie was born on 24 May 1744.¹ He was the son of Alexander Montgomerie and Lillias Montgomerie.² He married Elizabeth Taylor, daughter of Dr. John Taylor, on 20 October 1784.¹ He died on 8 July 1802 at age 58.¹
     He was in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹ He lived at Annick Lodge, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹
