James Walker1 
James Walker was born on 14 September 1781 at Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland.2 He married Janet (?)3 He died on 8 October 1862 at age 81.2
He was a civil engineer, including the construction of 21 lighthouses.2 He was President of the Institution of Civil Engineers between 1834 and 1845.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)2
