He gained the rank of Colonel between 1778 and 1803 in the East Devon Militia.2 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Hinton, of Hinton St. George, Somerset [G.B., 1706] on 14 April 1788.2 He succeeded as the 4th Earl Poulett [G.B., 1706] on 14 April 1788.2 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Poulett, of Hinton St. George, Somerset [E., 1627] on 14 April 1788.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Devon in 1794.2 He held the office of Lord of the Bedchamber between 1795 and 1819.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Thistle (K.T.)1

George Evelyn Boscawen, 3rd Viscount Falmouth was born on 6 May 1758.1 He was the son of Admiral Rt. Hon. Edward Boscawen and Frances Glanville.3 He married Elizabeth Anne Crewe, daughter of John Crewe, on 26 June 1784.1 He died on 8 February 1808 at age 49.1
He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Falmouth, co. Cornwall [G.B., 1720] on 4 February 1782.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Boscawen Rose, co. Cornwall [G.B., 1720] on 4 February 1782.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1790.1
