     Arthur de Cardonnel Rice, 6th Baron Dynevor of Dynevor was born on 24 January 1836.1 He was the son of Francis William Rice, 5th Baron Dynevor of Dynevor and Harriet Ives Barker.2 He married Selina Lascelles, daughter of Hon. Arthur Lascelles and Caroline Frances Brooke, on 4 February 1869.2 He died on 8 June 1911 at age 75.
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Carmarthenshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Carmarthenshire.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Dynevor of Dynevor, co. Carmarthen [G.B., 1780] on 3 August 1878.1
