     Jean Grant was born on 28 September 1705 at Edinglarrie, Scotland^G.^2,3 She was the daughter of Sir James Grant of Grant, 6th Bt. and Anne Colquhoun.^1,4 She married William Duff, 1st Earl Fife, son of William Duff and Helen Gordon, in 1723.¹ She died on 16 January 1788 at age 82 at Rothiemay, Banffshire, Scotland^G.^1,3
     From 1723, her married name became Duff.¹

     Sir James Grant of Grant, 6th Bt. was born on 28 July 1679.³ He was the son of Ludovic Grant, 8th of Freuchie and 1st of Grant and Janet Brodie.³ He married Anne Colquhoun, daughter of Sir Humphrey Colquhoun of Luss, 5th Bt. and Margaret Houstoun, on 29 January 1702.³ He died on 16 January 1747 at age 67.³
     He was given the name of James Grant at birth.⁴ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Colquhoun, of Luss [N.S., 1625] in 1718.³ In 1718 his name was legally changed to James Colquhoun.³ In 1719 his name was legally changed to James Grant of Grant.⁴

     Trevor Ogilvie-Grant, 4th Baron Strathspey of Strathspey was born on 2 March 1879.³ He was the son of Francis William Ogilvy-Grant, 10th Earl of Seafield and Ann Trevor Corry Evans.¹ He married, firstly, Alice Louisa Hardy-Johnston, daughter of Thomas Masterman Hardy-Johnston, on 19 December 1905.³ He married, secondly, Elfrida Minnie Cloete, daughter of Gordon Cloete, in March 1947.¹ He died on 11 November 1948 at age 69.³
     He was educated at Waitaki High School, Oamaru, New Zealand.³ He was educated at St. John’s College, Hamilton, New Zealand.³ He was with the New Zealand Civil Service.³ He succeeded as the 4th Baron Strathspey of Strathspey, counties Inverness and Moray [U.K., 1884] on 12 November 1915.⁴ He succeeded as the 16th Baronet Colquhoun, of Luss [N.S., 1625] on 12 November 1915.³

     James Brodie was born on 7 March 1769.¹ He was the son of James Brodie, 21st of Brodie and Lady Margaret Duff.¹ He married Anne Story, daughter of Colonel unknown Story, in 1791.² He died in 1802 at Madras, India^G, drowned.^1,2
     He was in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹ He lived at Brodie, Morayshire, Scotland.³

     Anne Story is the daughter of Colonel unknown Story.² She married James Brodie, son of James Brodie, 21st of Brodie and Lady Margaret Duff, in 1791.³
     From 1791, her married name became Brodie.¹

     Colonel unknown Story lived at Ascot, Northumberland, England^G.¹

     William Brodie, 22nd of Brodie was born on 2 July 1799.¹ He was the son of James Brodie and Anne Story.¹ He married Elizabeth Baillie, daughter of Colonel Hugh Duncan Baillie and Elizabeth Reynett, on 27 November 1838.¹ He died in 1873.¹
     He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Nairnshire between 1824 and 1873.¹ He held the position of 22nd Chief of the Clan Brodie from on 17 January 1824.¹

     Elizabeth Baillie was born in 1819.² She was the daughter of Colonel Hugh Duncan Baillie and Elizabeth Reynett.^1,2 She married William Brodie, 22nd of Brodie, son of James Brodie and Anne Story, on 27 November 1838.¹ She died on 30 January 1914.¹
     From 27 November 1838, her married name became Brodie.¹

     Colonel Hugh Duncan Baillie was born on 31 May 1777.² He was the son of Evan Baillie of Dochfour and Mary Gurley.^2,3 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Reynett, daughter of Reverend Henry Reynett, on 13 December 1796.² He married, secondly, Mary Smith, daughter of Thomas Smith, on 2 July 1821.² He died on 21 June 1866 at age 89.²
     He lived at Tarradale, Ross-shire, Scotland^G.² He lived at Red Castle, Inverness-shire, Scotland^G.²

     Hugh Fife Ashley Brodie, 23rd of Brodie was born on 8 September 1840.¹ He was the son of William Brodie, 22nd of Brodie and Elizabeth Baillie.¹ He married Lady Eleanor Reynolds-Moreton, daughter of Henry George Francis Reynolds-Moreton, 2nd Earl of Ducie and Hon. Elizabeth Dutton, on 1 January 1868.¹ He died on 20 September 1889 at age 49.¹
     He held the position of 23rd Chief of the Clan Brodie from in 1873.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Nairnshire between 1880 and 1889.¹
