     Alexander Duff, 2nd of Hatton was born on 26 March 1718 at Aberdeenshire, Scotland.² He was the son of Alexander Duff, 1st of Hatton and Catherine Duff.¹ He married Lady Anne Duff, daughter of William Duff, 1st Earl Fife and Jean Grant, in 1745.¹ He died on 3 November 1764 at age 46 at Scotland.² He was buried at Auchterless Kirkyard, Auchterless, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.²

     Jean Duff was born in 1746.² She was the daughter of Alexander Duff, 2nd of Hatton and Lady Anne Duff.¹ She married Sir James Grant of Grant, 8th Bt., son of Sir Ludovick Grant of Grant, 7th Bt. and Lady Margaret Ogilvy, on 4 January 1763 at Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ She died on 15 February 1805.¹
     She was also known as Jane Duff.³ She lived at Hatton, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.³ From 4 January 1763, her married name became Grant.¹

     Major Neville Edward Hyde Chance married Hon. Susan Katherine Lucy Ismay, daughter of General Hastings Lionel Ismay, 1st and last Baron Ismay and Laura Kathleen Clegg, in 1942.¹ He and Hon. Susan Katherine Lucy Ismay were divorced in 1946.¹

     Lady Janet Duff was born in 1727.² She was the daughter of William Duff, 1st Earl Fife and Jean Grant.¹ She married, firstly, Sir William Gordon of Park, 3rd Bt., son of Sir James Gordon of Park, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Helen Fraser, in 1745.² She married, secondly, George Hay of Mountblary, son of Andrew Hay and Mary Allardice, after 1751.³ She died on 3 March 1758 at Carnousie House, Forglen, Banffshire, Scotland^G.^2,3
     From 1745, her married name became Gordon.² From after 1751, her married name became Hay.³

     Sir William Gordon of Park, 3rd Bt. was baptised on 23 April 1712 at Ordiquhill, Banffshire, Scotland.² He was the son of Sir James Gordon of Park, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Helen Fraser.³ He married Lady Janet Duff, daughter of William Duff, 1st Earl Fife and Jean Grant, in 1745.⁴ He died on 5 June 1751 at age 39 at Douai, France^G.⁴
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Gordon, of Park, co. Banff [N.S., 1686] on 15 December 1727.³ In 1745 He was attainted after Culloden, but this attainder was reversed in his lifetime.^1,3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Ogilvie’s Regiment, French Army.³

     Jean Gordon was born circa 1745.¹ She was the daughter of Sir William Gordon of Park, 3rd Bt. and Lady Janet Duff.¹ She married Duncan Urquhart.¹ She died circa 1767.¹
     Her married name became Urquhart.¹

     Duncan Urquhart married Jean Gordon, daughter of Sir William Gordon of Park, 3rd Bt. and Lady Janet Duff.¹

     Sir John James Gordon, 4th Bt. was born in 1749 at Boulogne, France^G.² He was the son of Sir William Gordon of Park, 3rd Bt. and Lady Janet Duff.³ He married Hannah Corner at India.⁴ He died on 11 December 1781 at Bassein, Malabar, India, killed in action.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Gordon, of Park, co. Banff [N.S., 1686] on 5 June 1751.¹ He gained the rank of officer in 1774 in the Royal Legion, French Army.⁴ He was with the East India Company.⁴ He fought in the Battle of Bassein in 1781.³
     He was “despatched to India with some difficulty.”³ He had three children.³

     Hannah Corner married Sir John James Gordon, 4th Bt., son of Sir William Gordon of Park, 3rd Bt. and Lady Janet Duff, at India.² She died on 28 January 1792 at Sloane Street, London, England.³
     Her married name became Gordon.¹

     William Braco Gordon was born circa 1750 at Douai, France^G.¹ He was the son of Sir William Gordon of Park, 3rd Bt. and Lady Janet Duff.² He died in 1776 at Mountblairy, Alvah, Banffshire, Scotland^G, ‘while on recruiting duty’.^2,1
