Jean Duff was born in 1746.2 She was the daughter of Alexander Duff, 2nd of Hatton and Lady Anne Duff.1 She married Sir James Grant of Grant, 8th Bt., son of Sir Ludovick Grant of Grant, 7th Bt. and Lady Margaret Ogilvy, on 4 January 1763 at Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.1 She died on 15 February 1805.1
She was also known as Jane Duff.3 She lived at Hatton, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.3 From 4 January 1763, her married name became Grant.1

Sir William Gordon of Park, 3rd Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Gordon, of Park, co. Banff [N.S., 1686] on 15 December 1727.3 In 1745 He was attainted after Culloden, but this attainder was reversed in his lifetime.1,3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Ogilvie’s Regiment, French Army.3

Sir John James Gordon, 4th Bt.1

He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Gordon, of Park, co. Banff [N.S., 1686] on 5 June 1751.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1774 in the Royal Legion, French Army.4 He was with the East India Company.4 He fought in the Battle of Bassein in 1781.3
He was “despatched to India with some difficulty.”3 He had three children.3
