     Her married name became Hubbard.

     Captain Gerald Napier Hubbard was born on 27 August 1882.1 He was the son of Hon. Arthur Gellibrand Hubbard and Amelia d’Esterre Huntly.1 He married Bertha Caroline Garnier, daughter of Reverend Edward Southwell Garnier and Annie Maria Dixon, on 14 January 1908.1 He died on 19 October 1939 at age 57.1
     He was educated at Chapel, Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Rifle Brigade.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Irish Guards.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches and wounded.1

     Hon. Arthur Gellibrand Hubbard was born on 6 February 1848.1 He was the son of John Gellibrand Hubbard, 1st Baron Addington and Hon. Maria Margaret Napier.1 He married Amelia d’Esterre Huntly, daughter of Charles Hugh Grafton Fitzroy Beachcroft Huntly and Isabella Bennett Baillie, on 29 June 1881.1 He died on 7 March 1896 at age 48.1
     He held the office of Secretary of Foreign Affairs for the Cape Colony.1 He was Accountant to the Basutoland Government.1

     Amelia d’Esterre Huntly was the daughter of Charles Hugh Grafton Fitzroy Beachcroft Huntly and Isabella Bennett Baillie.3,4 She married Hon. Arthur Gellibrand Hubbard, son of John Gellibrand Hubbard, 1st Baron Addington and Hon. Maria Margaret Napier, on 29 June 1881.3 She died on 20 November 1930.3
     Her married name became Hubbard.

     Charles Hugh Grafton Fitzroy Beachcroft Huntly was born on 19 November 1819 at Uitenage, Cape Province, South AfricaG.2,3 He was the son of Hugh Huntly and Susan Elizabeth Catharina Ferreira.2 He married Isabella Bennett Baillie, daughter of John Baillie, on 28 April 1841.3 He died on 15 August 1889 at age 69 at Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.4,3
     He was Civil Commissioner and Resident Magistrate at Albany, South AfricaG.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1

Maria Margaret Napier was born on 18 March 1817 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 She was the daughter of Captain William John Napier, 9th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Eliza Cochrane-Johnstone.1 She married John Gellibrand Hubbard, 1st Baron Addington, son of John Hubbard and Marianne Morgan, on 19 May 1837 at Kew, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 18 April 1896 at age 79 at Addington Manor, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 She was buried at Addington, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.2
     Her married name became Hubbard. After her marriage, Hon. Maria Margaret Napier was styled as Baroness Addington on 22 July 1887.

Captain William John Napier, 9th Lord Napier of Merchistoun1

     Captain William John Napier, 9th Lord Napier of Merchistoun was born on 13 October 1786 at Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland.2 He was the son of Francis Napier, 8th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Maria Margaret Clavering.3 He married Eliza Cochrane-Johnstone, daughter of Colonel Hon. Andrew James Cochrane-Johnstone and Lady Georgiana Hope Johnstone, on 28 March 1816.3 He died on 11 October 1834 at age 47 at Macau.2
     He fought in the Battle of Trafalgar.2 He succeeded as the 9th Lord Napier of Merchistoun [S., 1627] on 1 August 1823.3 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Scott, of Thirlestane [N.S., 1666] on 1 August 1823.3 He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1824 and 1832.2 He held the office of Lord of the Bedchamber to Kign William IV.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.2 He was Special Trade Commissioner and Chief Resident of Canton, China in 1833.2

     Maria Margaret Clavering was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir John Clavering.1 She married Francis Napier, 8th Lord Napier of Merchistoun, son of William Napier, 7th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Marie Anne Cathcart, on 13 April 1784.2 She died on 29 December 1821.2
     From 13 April 1784, her married name became Napier.

Andrew James Cochrane-Johnstone and Lady Georgiana Hope Johnstone.1,2 She married Captain William John Napier, 9th Lord Napier of Merchistoun, son of Francis Napier, 8th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Maria Margaret Clavering, on 28 March 1816.3 She died on 6 June 1883.3
     Her married name became Napier.
