     Eleanor Hyndford Gibson-Carmichael was baptised on 27 July 1807 at Kirkurd, Peebles-shire, ScotlandG.2 She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Gibson-Carmichael of Skirling, 7th Bt. and Janet Maitland Dundas.3 She married Sir David Kinloch of Gilmerton, 9th Bt., son of Sir Alexander Kinloch of Gilmerton, 8th Bt. and Isabella Stowe, on 5 June 1829.1 She died on 15 October 1849 at age 42.1
     From 5 June 1829, her married name became Kinloch.

Anne Napier was baptised on 14 January 1790 at Wilton, Roxburghshire, ScotlandG.2 She was the daughter of Francis Napier, 8th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Maria Margaret Clavering.3 She married Sir Thomas Gibson-Carmichael of Skirling, 7th Bt., son of Alexander Gibson and Margaret Bruce Dundas, on 8 June 1816.1 She was also reported to have been married on 13 June 1816.3 She died on 7 December 1862 at age 72.1
     From 8 June 1816, her married name became Gibson-Carmichael.1

     Sir Thomas Gibson-Carmichael of Skirling, 9th Bt. was born on 27 October 1817.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Gibson-Carmichael of Skirling, 7th Bt. and Hon. Anne Napier.2 He was baptised on 16 December 1817 at Kirkurd, Peebles-shire, ScotlandG.3 He married Frances Marianne Story, daughter of Reverend Joseph Story, on 17 October 1849.1 He died on 30 December 1855 at age 38, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Gibson, of Keirhill, Midlothian [N.S., 1702] on 8 May 1850.1
