     From 8 August 1808, her married name became Balfour.1

     He lived at Ayton, Berwickshire, Scotland.3 He was Receiver-General of land tax for Scotland.3 He was Commissioner of Lands and Forests of Scotland.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for New Romney between 1796 and 1802.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Berwick-upon-Tweed between 1802 and 5 April 1803.2
