Sir Raleigh Grey was born on 24 March 1860 at Walcot, Somerset, England.^1,2 He was the son of Alfred Grey and Christina Henrietta Victoria Jones.³ He married Mary Isabel Cadogan, daughter of Cadogan Hodgson Cadogan and Isabella Mary Smith, on 10 July 1901 at The Cathedral, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.¹ He died on 10 January 1936 at age 75 at London, England.^1,2
     He gained the rank of Captain and Brevet Major in the 6th Dragoons.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1896.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the South Rhodesian Volunteers.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.¹ He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Rhodesia]¹ He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1910.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1919.¹

     William Johns Bolitho was born on 2 January 1854.¹ He was the son of William Bolitho and Mary Hichens Yonge.¹ He died on 28 July 1854.¹

     Mary Isabel Cadogan was born circa 1850.² She was the daughter of Cadogan Hodgson Cadogan and Isabella Mary Smith.^3,2 She married, firstly, Alexander Henry Browne, son of Alexander Browne and Helena Gwynifred Forman, on 27 April 1870 at Brinkburn Priory Church, Northumberland, England.^1,2 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Sir Raleigh Grey, son of Alfred Grey and Christina Henrietta Victoria Jones, on 10 July 1901 at The Cathedral, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.¹ She died on 10 October 1936.¹
     From 27 April 1870, her married name became Browne.¹ From 10 July 1901, her married name became Grey.

     Annie Trevelyan Grey was born in 1862 at Bath, Somerset, England.² She was the daughter of Alfred Grey and Christina Henrietta Victoria Jones.³ She died on 3 June 1939 at Bondgate Villa, Alnwick, Northumberland, England, unmarried.^1,2

     Lady Elizabeth Grey was born on 7 April 1765.² She was the daughter of General Charles Grey, 1st Earl Grey and Elizabeth Grey.³ She married Samuel Whitbread, son of Samuel Whitbread and Harriot Hayton, in 1789.¹ She died on 28 November 1846 at age 81.¹
     From 1789, her married name became Whitbread.

     Lady Hannah Althea Grey was the daughter of General Charles Grey, 1st Earl Grey and Elizabeth Grey.² She married, firstly, Captain George Edmund Byron Bettesworth on 24 August 1807.¹ She married, secondly, Rt. Hon. Edward Ellice, son of Alexander Ellice and Ann Russell, on 30 October 1809.¹ She died on 28 July 1832.¹
     From 24 August 1807, her married name became Bettesworth. From 30 October 1809, her married name became Ellice.¹

     Captain George Edmund Byron Bettesworth was born in 1780.² He married Lady Hannah Althea Grey, daughter of General Charles Grey, 1st Earl Grey and Elizabeth Grey, on 24 August 1807.¹ He died on 25 May 1808, killed in action off Bergen, while in command of H.M.S. Tartar.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He fought in the Napoleonic Wars.¹

     She graduated from McGill University, Montréal, Quebec, Canada^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ From 17 May 2008, her married name became Phillips.¹
