Mary Thorold was born in 1610.2 She is the daughter of Sir Anthony Thorold and Elizabeth Molyneux.3 She married William Widdrington, 1st Baron Widdrington of Blankney, son of Sir Henry Widdrington and Marie Curwen, on 10 January 1629.1 She died after 1676.2
From 10 January 1629, her married name became Widdrington.1

He held the office of Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1632.1 He was created 1st Baronet Thorold, of Marston, Lincoln [England] on 24 August 1642.1 He was royalist during the Civil War.1 He sold the Manor of Denton in 1648 to William Welby.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Grantham between 1661 and 1677.1
