George Frederick Muntz was born on 26 November 1794 at Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.1 He was the son of Philip Frederick Muntz and Catharine Purden.1 He married Eliza Pryce, daughter of Reverend John Pryce and Mary Devereux, on 5 October 1818.1 He died on 30 July 1857 at age 62.1
