     Evelyn Beatrice Dening was born on 4 February 1881 at Sialkote, Pakistan.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Lewis Dening and Beatrice Catherine Scott.¹ She died on 18 September 1885 at age 4 at Meerut, India.¹

     Reverend Samuel Semple married Elizabeth Murray, daughter of Sir Archibald Murray of Blackbarony, 3rd Bt. and Lady Mary Keith.¹
     He was Minister between 1697 and 1742 at Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland.²
