     He gained the rank of Captain in the 14th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment.¹

     Sir James Walter Scott, 2nd Bt. was born on 26 October 1924.¹ He was the son of Sir Jervoise Bolitho Scott, 1st Bt. and Kathleen Isabel Walter.² He married Anne Constantia Austin, daughter of Lt.-Col. Clive Grantham Austin and Lady Lillian Mary Thoedora Lumley, on 8 December 1951.¹ He died on 2 November 1993 at age 69 at Alton, Hampshire, England.^1,3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of officer between 1943 and 1960 in the Life Guards.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1944 and 1945, in France and Germany.¹ He fought in the Palestine Campaign between 1945 and 1946.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Viceroy of India between 1946 and 1948.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Scott, of Rotherfield, co. Southampton [U.K., 1962] on 21 June 1965.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire between 1982 and 1993.¹ He lived at The Knapp, Colemore, Hampshire, England.¹

     Elizabeth Anne Linley Messel was born on 26 October 1934.¹ She is the daughter of Linley Francis Messel and Agatha Anne Alexander.¹ She married Ian Berkeley Church, son of Leslie Church, on 14 February 1956.¹
     From 14 February 1956, her married name became Church.¹

     Major Henry Samuel Jervoise Scott was born on 25 November 1955.¹ He is the son of Samuel Arthur Scott and Juliet Modwena Allsopp.² He married Joanna Sarah Brownlow, daughter of James Christy Brownlow and Susan Honor Rushton Barnes, in 1979.¹
