He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer between 1943 and 1960 in the Life Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1944 and 1945, in France and Germany.1 He fought in the Palestine Campaign between 1945 and 1946.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Viceroy of India between 1946 and 1948.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Scott, of Rotherfield, co. Southampton [U.K., 1962] on 21 June 1965.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire between 1982 and 1993.1 He lived at The Knapp, Colemore, Hampshire, England.1
