Sir Hugh Gurney1 
Sir Hugh Gurney was born on 4 February 1878. He was the son of John Gurney and Isabel Charlotte Blake-Humfrey.1 He married Mariota Susan Carnegie, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Lancelot Douglas Carnegie and Marion Alice de Gourney Barclay, on 3 July 1911.1 He died on 7 March 1968 at age 90.1
He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)1
