Robert Fergusson, 7th of Craigdarroch was born circa 1510 at Craigdarroch, Glencairn, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Thomas Fergusson, 6th of Craigdarroch and unknown daughter Crichton.1 He married Janet Cuninghame, daughter of William Cuninghame, 4th Earl of Glencairn.1 He died on 30 April 1588 at Scotland.2 He was also reported to have died on 16 July 1587.1
