     Kathleen Letitia de Montmorency was born on 6 November 1894.¹ She was the daughter of John Kiddell de Montmorency and Ada Kate Margaret Ligonier Balfour.² She married Paul George Shore Phillipps-Treby, son of Maj.-Gen. Paul Winsloe Phillipps-Treby, on 1 November 1924.¹
     From 1 November 1924, her married name became Phillipps-Treby.

     Paul George Shore Phillipps-Treby is the son of Maj.-Gen. Paul Winsloe Phillipps-Treby.² He married Kathleen Letitia de Montmorency, daughter of John Kiddell de Montmorency and Ada Kate Margaret Ligonier Balfour, on 1 November 1924.¹

     James Edward Geoffrey de Montmorency was born on 6 December 1866.¹ He was the son of James Lodge de Montmorency and Susan Kiddell.² He married Caroline Maud Saumarez de Havilland, daughter of Maj.-Gen. James de Havilland and Caroline Rainier Jones, on 15 August 1899.¹ He died on 9 March 1934 at age 67.¹
     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)¹ He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was a practising barrister.¹ He was Quain Professor of Comparative Law between 1920 and 1943 at London University, School of Law, London, England^G.¹

     Maj.-Gen. James de Havilland was born on 16 June 1828 at Guernsey, Channel Islands.^2,3 He was the son of Major Charles de Havilland and Martha Saumarez.⁴ He married, firstly, Louisa Magdalene Atkinson, daughter of George Atkinson, on 27 April 1852 at Newton Abbot, Devon, England.³ He married, secondly, Caroline Rainier Jones in 1870 at Kensington, London, England.³ He died on 11 March 1906 at age 77.²
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Caroline Maud Saumarez de Havilland was born circa 1873 at Southsea, Hampshire, England.^1,2 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. James de Havilland and Caroline Rainier Jones.^3,2 She married James Edward Geoffrey de Montmorency, son of James Lodge de Montmorency and Susan Kiddell, on 15 August 1899.¹ She died on 17 December 1973.
     From 15 August 1899, her married name became de Montmorency.

     Geoffrey James Brooke de Montmorency was born on 9 June 1905.¹ He was the son of James Edward Geoffrey de Montmorency and Caroline Maud Saumarez de Havilland.² He died on 3 September 1906 at age 1.¹

     Geraldine Susan Maud de Montmorency was born on 20 July 1900 at Greenwich, Kent, England.^1,2 She was the daughter of James Edward Geoffrey de Montmorency and Caroline Maud Saumarez de Havilland.³ She married Sir William Hawthorne Lewis, son of Thomas Crompton Lewis, on 29 January 1957 at Kensington, London, England.^1,2 She died in 1993 at Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.²
     She graduated with a Fellow, Library Association (F.L.A.)¹ She was awarded the Unesco Travelling Fellowship in 1952.¹ From 29 January 1957, her married name became Lewis.

     Thomas Crompton Lewis was Director of Public Instruction at Upper Province, India^G.¹

     Sir William Hawthorne Lewis was born on 19 June 1888.² He was the son of Thomas Crompton Lewis.³ He married Geraldine Susan Maud de Montmorency, daughter of James Edward Geoffrey de Montmorency and Caroline Maud Saumarez de Havilland, on 29 January 1957 at Kensington, London, England.^1,2 He died in 1970 at Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.²
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.)¹ Sir William Hawthorne Lewis usually went by his middle name of Hawthorne.¹
