Sir William George Herbert Taylor Ramsay-Fairfax, 2nd Bt.1 
He was given the name of William George Herbert Taylor Fairfax at birth.1 He fought in the Crimean War.1 He fought in the Siege of Sevastopol, he received a medal and clasp and Turkish medal.1 He gained the rank of Colonel.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Ramsay-Fairfax-Lucy, of the Holmes, co. Roxburgh [U.K., 1836] on 3 February 1860.1 In 1876 his name was legally changed to William George Herbert Taylor Ramsay-Fairfax on inheriting the estate of his aunt, Miss Williamson-Ramsay of Maxton.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Roxburghshire.1
