     Colin Macdonald, 2nd of Boisdale was the son of Alexander ‘Mor’ Macdonald, 1st of Boisdale and Mary Macdonald.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Campbell, daughter of Donald Campbell, 4th of Airds and Margaret Maclaine.2 He married, secondly, Isabella Campbell, daughter of Captain Robert Campbell and Jean Sinclair.2 He died on 31 July 1800 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.3,2
     He purchased Ulva, Mull.2
